Only real change was to flicker jump which is what I think we all assumed would happen. But jetbikes still get heavy weapons on all and WK is still 295pt lol

I was shocked by the ruling on Veil of Tears. But thinking on it, that makes sense now that you can Jink against something that didn't target you!
Very glad to see it confirmed that a Solitaire benefits from both Caress and the Kiss.
I love that they matched the common house-rule for Warp Spiders to be once per turn.
You might not realize it unless you frequented the YMDC forum, but the +1BS issue for Wave Serpents was a real issue, as it had a few ardent supporters in the "nope, they don't get the +1BS" camp. This puts that argument to bed.
I think the FAQ is a bit confusing when talking about the Archon and the interaction with a unit of Grotesques and the Zealot rule. The FAQ says that the Archon benefits from Zealot because at least one model in the unit has it, so they all benefit. However, they've previously said that special rules DON'T transfer over. I think what they meant to say is that the unit takes the Leadership Test, not the Archon (even if they'd normally use his higher Leadership), and so the unit gets to benefit from Zealot, and the Archon effectively benefits from it in the same way for this purpose.

you don't need a facebook account to see the faq.
Just use your favourite search engine and search for 40k facebook and you will find it.

Thankfully, you can still look at stuff on Facebook without being a part of Facebook. I'm in the same boat. Just have to deal with an annoying pop-up that asks you to join. Link

Well not only does it limit it to once per turn but it also specifically calls out 2d6 not 2d6+6 and you can't use it while charging (aka overwatch either). That's multiple clarifications and nerfs.

It's FAQ and rules errata. There have been no point changes in any of the other codices. I wonder how many posts we're gonna see today (across facebook and sites like this) talking about the WK not getting a point increase, or changing options entirely for guardian windriders.

Errata'ing? Probably not. So far they're using errata to alter rules, or to make a positive change to a unit's profile such as the increased BS/ WS of BA scouts, and adding to non-vanilla dread attacks. I feel like leaving any negative changes to profiles until a new codex is a better way to go about it.

Or you could ask your opponent not to spam Scatter lasers. While I agree a 4+ save "feels" more appropriate, only a new codex (which isn't coming for years) will change any stat lines or points costs. The only reason BA Scouts and BA, SW & GK Dreads were changed was to match the existing SM & DA ones that are supposed to be the same units. So as soon as Dark Eldar or Harlequins get Windriders that cost 30+pts and have a 4+ armour, we'll be waiting for the next Eldar codex......but I wouldn't hold your breath since Eldar jetibkes have had 3+ armour for at least the last 10yrs/ 3 codices (as have they been Troops).

Zealot is a rule that explicitly says in the BRB "If at least one model in the unit...", which is why they say that the Archon benefits. It has nothing to do with the Power from Pain and everything to do with the fact that Zealot is one of those rules where if anyone has it, everyone benefits.

If you are talking about Touneys, then no, of course you can't change your list. But it's a Tourney, so you should expect people to have the hardest options If you are talking about casual games, then of course you can ask your opponent to tone it down. Games are an agreed upon social interaction in which both players must agree, or no game happens As an Eldar player I have multiple lists to play in casual games. If I think an opponent isn't going to have fun against my Scatter bikes and WK, then I use a list that doesn't have the WK and only has 1 per 3 Scatter lasers in the bike squad. I don't even wait for them to ask, It's that simple

GW stating it is ok to use the Iyanden Codex is fairly significant. Last year, there were many very vocal stating it was no longer valid to use. I'm sure some folks still used it, but every event I attended banned the book.

Except, there's an errata section and all. They can literally errata things however they want. With the same facility wherewith they wrote "once per phase" in the warp spider entry, they could have written: "That should be a 3, not a 2, in the wraithknight's points cost. Sorry guys. Lol."

GW basically doesnt do Errata like that unless it really was a misprint. The only example I can think of over the last 3 or 4 editions was the Helbrute getting a 5pt reduction because it was misprinted in English language copies. If there's going to be an *actual* rules change or update, GW is going to sell it to you in a new book.

Another change I don't think anyone has mentions is that D-Scythes are only str4 for No Escape. Not a big deal overall, but significant if you fight Necrons often. Wounding them in a Ghost ark on 4+ instead of 3+ might leave a few minis alive.
Might also make a difference to DE Grotesques, who now get wounded on 5+ in the Raider.

And hopefully we'll see that in the next codex.
All in all, nothing surprising with this FAQ.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."
This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

You were looking for errata but this is not a job of FAQ. This much was already extra that wasn't given to begin with.

There is nothing wrong with jetbikes and wraithknights. Nearly the entire space marine codex needs a point increase. The average marine should cost three times as much as a ork or eldar.
