Glad I left a few meganobz with kombi-skorchas.
No reason not to shoot both guns since flamers auto-hit anyway.

I believe they confirmed in one of the FB posts that Meatgrinder would be in, which would do just that.

Interesting that Frags are also D6, when we all kinda assumed small blasts would all be D3 after the battlecannon came out.
Wonder how consistent that will be across the board?

Savior Protocols could be a real hassle if the independent gun/marker/(Oh God)shield drone squad is still a thing.
String them out to get within 3" of a bunch of units, then just pick and choose who to protect. 8" move lets the drones adjust quickly once they start getting picked off.

Depends. The scenarios/missions included will be a driving factor. The Ambush scenario previewed earlier lends itself pretty well to narrative games, and I believe they're bringing back Meatgrinder as well.
Power Levels seem like they might be better for narrative type long term campaigns that I've seen FLGS run instead of points. Friendlier for newer and more casual players to jump in with.

Was having a conversation with a friend of mine who runs DA sprinkled w/ DW. He was raging that P. Fists were worthless now.
Him: Man, P. Fists are -garbage-. -1 to hit w/ them??! What a load of !
Me: How so? They apparently still buff strength, do multiple wounds and have a rend of like -3 and strike first if you charge. What's not to like..?
H: I only hit on 4+ w/ them instead of 3+!!
M: You already hit on a 4+ against 90% of the armies in the game. Only against my Tau did you ever hit me on a 3+.
H: ...well.. yeah, I guess they're ok..

It also appears to be a stealth way of fething Tau over that I was expecting after previous faq's and comments from some of these parties. I also suspect the only reason this is causing less concern is that people can see it as a big FU to tau and are feeling a little gleefully.
This is a buff to Tau. Their entire army gets to shoot at the transport, then their entire army gets to shoot at the infantry. Why would you think this is a nerf?
Does supporting fire currently let you Overwatch for a unit that is actively engaged?
If you mean a unit that is already engaged and is charged by another unit, that unit can't fire overwatch, but other supporting fire units in range can.

I don't mind that, but I hate the "if all models in a unit are in a piece of terrain" part. So intervening cover means nothing? Yuck.
That is odd, since it would make the Aegis and Tidewall useless without bespoke terrain rules...

Which was offset by reece and co being people who were very obvious about hating tau and wishing they never existed, and now it seems they got their way.
Seriously the pts are only part of the issue a lot of the Tau stuff shows the problem that even the previously lackluster stuff has been nerfed into the ground and that most weapons in general are poorer.
As for the "Buffs" yay a coldstar can fly 40" but wtf is it going to do when it gets there with 8 str 6 -1 rend shots.
"The Storm surge can fire 10 weapons" that includes 4 "Destroyer" missiles that have an impressive 0.772% chance of all hitting, a main gun that requires being almost in charge range to get the most out of.
.772% chance of hitting without markerlight. synergy is taus whole thing.
storm bolters are a little disappointing that its the exact same thing as twin linked bolters. not that its bad or anything 4 shots is 4 shots.
hang on i think i missed the marker light rules.
i know 1 gives you rerolls of 1. did the rest get leaked?
Rest of the ML table is here https://www.facebook.com/GrotOrderly/photos/pcb.1453285424737613/1453283591404463/?type=3&theater
2 is Destroyer/Seeker missiles fire at users BS.
3 is no penalty to moving and shooting heavy weapons or advancing and shooting assault weapons.
4 is no cover bonus
5 is +1 to hit
