As the title says, does anyone know of any Salute offers?
There is normally a thread by now, but nothing yet this year and Salute is only a week away, so far ive only seen the Westwind Productions/Forged in Battle offer.

When at the checkout select the postage option ‘Pickup at Salute,’ and use the Promo Code ‘SaluteC&C’ and you’ll save 10% on your order (Orders over £10 excludes subscriptions) – you just need to come to our stand and give us your name at Salute.
WI Prime members will receive discounts on everything we have on sale!
£5 off Print subscriptions
50p off Giants in Miniature and Moments in History figures

Our trade stand is TK06 and our game stand is GK07, just across the way.

One of the few things that keeps me vaguely connected to the hobby having pretty much drifted out (aside from a ludicrous stack of Kingdom Death and assorted 50-90mm scale bits and bobs), should be an expensive day as per!

I believe its down to other sellers undercutting their prices with their 10-20+% discount they offer, we all know GW dont do proper sales so wont be able to compete, though FW has been there at least since 2015 but they are not there this year! this came up on facebook from several traders Anyone travelling to #Salute2019 this weekend, please be aware that Customs House DLR station is closed so use Prince Regent to get to the Excel. Also there are closures on parts of the DLR and Central Line so check TFL to plan your route! Sir Onumo Huntington-Smythe! Automatically Appended Next Post: 4Ground... This year we are at Salute Stand TH13 on the 6th of April. Due to a request that we reduce our stand size by the organisers we are unable to bring all of our products that we normally would. As such we will be offering our Salute Discounts from today on our website for dispatch as normal mail orders. We are often asked about this by customers from other parts of the world as well so this is a happy coincidence. The discount codes are: SLW5 for 5% off of orders of £50 or more. SLW10 for 10% off of orders of £100 or more. SLW20 for 20% off of orders of £200 or more. SLW30 for 30% off of orders of £300 or more. If you enter this into the website as a coupon it will take the value off of your order. The discount runs from today until the end of day on the 6th of April.

Worth giving a heads-up about the other bit of news on the site (because it's in very small print) - Custom House DLR station is closed all weekend. It looks like there will be a replacement bus service but I've not been able to find any details.

Yeah, between this and the travel issues I'm seriously thinking of skipping. What's the point of spending all that money to get to a show, where I should expect to actually see the products in person and decide what to buy, when most of the companies I'm interested in will only have stock that people have already ordered over the internet?

Damn it, was looking for a Salute thread before the show and must have missed this one, so I didn't see the offers.
Was it just me or was the event way less hyped this year?

Forgeworld had a stand in 2018 and 2017 (maybe 2016 too?) - the queues for it were insane, I'm kind of glad they didn't come this year

I saw far less offers and deals posts on facebook for sure,
that could be less promotion as small companies have less money to spare
could be some of the EU based ones were hesitant to commit due to Brexit
could well be facebook is just a less useful place for info distribution (I've certainly seen people I follow wondering if what they're posting is getting through to as many of their followers as they used to)

I missed last year so cannot compare but there was some EU missing like Freebooters and some of the mainstream core games clear declining like malifaux and Warmachine hordes. Forgeworld not there either but there was some smaller new projects coming along and some 2 year ago kickstarters going stronger with bigger range etc. Some small companies are getting bigger and better too.
So a well balanced show I guess but a clear shift from bigger companies into smaller ones. Overall hard to find information prior to the event and for some bizarre reason around 3:00 the event was dead to the point that at 4:30 some stands were packing up…
More relaxed and less epic this year. As for my ussual cover, well… my camera died around 1:00!!!! so I literally only covered half of what I ussually do! Soz.

Agree that there wasn't the usual spark this year, either in the lead up or on the day, but probably not surprising given the political mess in the UK at the moment. I thought going post apocalypse for the theme was a definite nod to how everything feels at the moment, but is quite a niche market within the niche war games market, so somewhat risky for a theme. I suspect (nay, hope) if we get some stability back next year and SLWarlords choose a more popular theme, Salute 20 will be to back it's best. I wonder though if the UKGE is having an effect on the club run cons?
All in all though, I had a good day. Bought everything I wanted (knight models knightmare batman & some heavily discounted xwing v1 ships), plus I snagged a free Mantic Hellboy for my daughter
Next year, I'll try and get my act together so I can run the Salute 20 thread...
As ever, thanks to the SLWarlords for giving the effort and time to organise this event...
