Size, measurements, anything from slight modifications to using different untis as a base for conversions are welcome.

I mean I'm going to be using mechanicum units from 30k for my Pteraxi. Thallax, to be exact.

But that's only because GW is...let's check...four years late now on porting those minis to a new edition? They're gonna be two editions behind in a couple of months, tsk tsk.

I have quite a few considerations so far, it's surprising how many kits you can buy for a lot less than £60 to smash together lol

So far I have:

Devilfish
Tau TX4 Piranha + GSC Ridgerunner (Yes, really)
Tau Sunshark Bomber
Even this Dark Angels Land Speeder Vengeance has potential

Its not the same. Those were specific and this thread is for people to share ideas, which would be lost on the other threads were primarily rules are discussed.

I remember there were models of the helicopter from the Avatar movie. I might use one of those as I'm trying to make a less goofy looking Ad Mech army

The huge drone is a really cool looking model. Only issue I could see is the huge wing span of the archaeopter. Some people might get a little salty.

That and it's almost identical to an existing death guard model

A Russian Hind or 50's era helicopter model would probably be a good base for the archeocopter.

Toothpicks and greenstuff + sicarans (or plain 'ol skitarii) = pteraxii, would be aided if you use stormboy boss legs for the feet.

The designers stated the cavalry units were based off greyhounds, so if you could get horse models and wolf skull heads, could probably model those up convincingly with some spare trinkets for the machinery look.

for the archeocopter, a SA321 Super Frelon, SA315 LAMA, SA330 Puma or a Bo105 look like they might fit the best as a chassis.
