Just thought I'd share, as Relicblade has long been one of my favorite light tabletop games. A true indie, labour of love, Sean has been a one man operation, hitting above his weightclass for a while now.
The new KS is equal parts expansion, but also new two-player starter set.

Its one of those games I feel like I forget about, then rediscover every few months. Its definitely a go to between more intense periods with competitive systems,

Relicblade is such a fun narrative game, and I’m excited to back yet another project by Sean. The game is so fluid and enjoyable. Not only that but each faction pack you pick up is an entire force for the game.

Almost. I think they tend to be like 70-ish points out of the starting 100pts, for the previous faction packs. But yeah... $50 for everything someone needs is awesome.
Frostgrave is rightly the indie, fantasy, tabletop darling, but Relicblade just oozes charm, whimsy, and like... family friendliness. Great palate cleanser between super-deadly-serious-toy-soldier-time. :-p

Was there ever any kind of dungeon crawl expansion or enemy AI rules/single player mode? Most of the gaming I get to do these days tends to be solo playing co-op board games, so if it had something like that I would definitely back in order to support what seems like a really cool game.

Apparently co- op/solo mode is the very next stretch-goal!

My mistake. I got most of my stuff through the various Kickstarters and usually picked up an extra figure from each faction and assumed there were 4 characters in each pack, and not summons/transformations. I think some of them do.

Unsure, does the 2 player new starter set contain the rules? In the pledge levels, it implies you need the Seeker book to play
"Note: you will need a copy of the Seeker Rulebook to play"
If that is true, then the 2 player starter is NOT a great deal..

Its the old argument about economy of scale. $100 is everything two people need, to play modest size games, and includes a campaign system etc...
Another $50 total lets you buy a crap-ton of the card decks that can change up the game wildly, or get you more models (with cards too), that also add a lot to the experience.
I definitely get the allure of buckets-of-stuff for your money, but here you're supporting a guy who is single-handedly living his dream, making a killer game, and learns all of his players names, writes them notes, etc...
Its basically an invite to the least toxic, happiest gaming community in the hobby, and that can be refreshingly priceless.

It's 12.50 USD a model, if you don't count any of the rules or tokens. Sure, they are one piece metal (I'm actually glad, I've got tons of other fiddly plastic to put together still), but that's not a terrible price. Especially when I consider spending 30 bucks on a GSC Magus or similar GW commander figure

I'm another big fan of the game, and big fan of Sean's. I've backed every kickstarter - though my experience with the first was what has made me a lifelong loyalist: I'd backed a level to just get the cards, so I could play with my own minis. He apparently forgot me during shipping... I pinged him a few weeks after the dust had settled, thinking maybe the package had gone lost, but nope, he fessed up that he somehow forgot my order, so sent me a full 2-player set with all the minis as an "apology". The minis were fantastic, really characterful and original.
I've now backed every KS and own his full catalog.
Can't recommend this more enthusiastically. Glad to see it's doing really well.

Sean did a demo for me at Adepticon a few years ago. Really nice guy and fun game. A hundred bucks for a complete indie system for at least two players, even more down the road, is certainly a fair price. And those miniatures are fantastic.

I wholeheartedly agree. At this point I've run out of stuff to buy for it, so I just occasionally buy a random starter for friends and family, and paint them as a gift. The models are a joy to paint.
Oh, for what its worth, I just did a very cursory piece on it for FLG. I mostly wanted to get SOMETHING up before the KS ended, so I could do my part to help.

I'll never understand when people balk at price and still play gw games. If you are not a brand new player how many times have you had to hunt down a rulebook and codex ? How many expansions did you have to buy or track down for 2-4 pages of rules ?
And while you they can say a gw started is maybe 100 with rules how many stop at just the starter. What happens if you want to play a real game at the store ?
Slightly derailed but i will be backing this Kickstarter and I always thought the minis had some charm to them perfect time to start I suppose

I picked up Blaster #1 yesterday, and she seems REALLY strong... like almost too strong. Always cool seeing more neutral models though, and she'll really encourage people to bring more dodge-stripping characters.

I've backed a couple of the Kickstarters and made a couple of big direct orders so now own most of the existing releases, and it's been a bargain for me considering the amount of fun I've had with it over the years.
It's not quite as quick to set up as Warcry but it is a better game overall, both in balance and fun factor.
It's beaten Frostgrave as my go-to family wargame and intro to new players.
And the minis are pretty much my favourite minis ever. The Lone Guard, the Bone and Darkness faction, and the gnomes, are particularly superb. But I've not found a bad one yet.

I went and primed all my stuff. Time to finally give the game a spin.
My son was interested due to the card artwork and booster packs. Nevermind we already know what's in them, he just wanted to tear them open.
A usual I'm sure I'll get all the guest models. Those have always been my favorites.
