From running with a bunch of assault marines, buy some Rhinos to have them hide behind. Cover will not always be in your favor, in fact it rarely will be and you will want your own cover.

I prefer running assault squads in elite slots and using the fast slots for Tornado's.

Fort Campbell

I've learned lately that you want an Epistolary over the Codicier all the time, even if your just going with 1 power. That extra point of Ld makes a huge differance when using the psychic hood, and if you go up against Eldar, your going to need that extra point since Farseers have that Ld 10. Drop a scout, and give your Sgt the sniper rifle. That should cover the points for that.

Edit: If your going to go with the Epistolary, I'd also suggest giving him Might of Heroes, since your going with such an assault based army.

The Hammer

I'd get rid of the combat shield on the Codicier. Due to the rules on how many weapons a figure can carry, it will replace his Force Weapon. The bolt pistol is better than it as he can get an invulnerable save from turbo-boosting anyways, and one point is a good deal for another Force Weapon attack. I would give him some melta bombs - it's nice to have the flexibility of nuking a parked tank - and possibly Artificer Armour. Fury of the Ancients can be useful on a biker Librarian because he has the maneuvrability to max out the number of targets under the "template".

I have different preferences in my Predator configurations - TLLC and x2HB all the way. However, if you get good results with yours they could stay as-is.

When soldiers think, it's called routing.

I'd get rid of the combat shield on the Codicier. Due to the rules on how many weapons a figure can carry, it will replace his Force Weapon.

A combat shield is wargear that confers a 5+ inv in close combat and can be taken with BP/forceweapon. A storm shield is what you are think of, which is a one handed weapon and confers a 4+ Inv in close combat.

Iorek: "Snoogums, you're right. Your arguments are irrelevant, and they sure as heck aren't going away."

Thanks so far for the replys!

I do have a list with 3 rinos in it to act as mobile cover. This is a core list so the changes won't be hard to do.

I try to keep my hq units under the 175 point mark. The cody works fine for what he does.

I have some black dice with white dots that hate me. They always roll low for me. So I use them for leadership checks.

They do roll well for my Fallen Angel killteam
