Hey everyone,

I am currently planning and working out the kinks on my very own game table. Does anyone know of any resources, online or otherwise that can give me some hint, tips, or alternate plans. I have one of my own which is a altered version of a set of plans I found on the DrunkenDwarves site but I am hoping to get some more info before I pull out the circular saw and drill bits.

Thanks in advance

Good place for ideas on tables.

I've seen the Reaper Exarch with both weapon options and both look like things you can buy in sex shops. A weapon should not look like this, not even a Emperor's Children weapon. -Symbio Joe

This only had a few enteries on what I was looking for. I am good on terrain. Its the table, the wood and bolts 4 legged thing that is gonna hold all that up, that I am looking for. Terragensis is a great site though always love going there.

Especially check out "small gaming table". I'm probably going to do something similar myself. Should be pretty easy to modify for 6x4 or 8x4.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

I'm doing one this month. The plan is 1 6'x4' sheet of ply wood, 2 5'x4' sheets, 2 2x4s and a set of folding legs (sold seperately at home depot).

The 5'x4' sheets go under the 6'x4' sheet to make a table with a 6" gutter in the front and back and a 12" gutter on the sides for storing minis, drinks etc. The 2x4s reinforce.

I'll post pictures and such in a week or two.

My table goes like this:
High quality pressboard top, 8x4
2x4 "frame" around the bottom edges of the top & two across the middle (short ways) This gives it PLENTY of support.
2x8' 4x4's, cut in half... this gives me my 4 legs.
2x4 framing around the outside of the legs, anout 18"up (to keep the legs from spreading apart)

Two 2x4's across the center of the leg supports, equadistant from each other & the edges. this is further support, AND It will hold up the shelf I will eventually lay down there.

The thing is tall enough that, when I am ready to add a second shelf, I can create a mimic of the "leg support" and put a shelf across it as well.

Yes. it is big. Yes. it is bulky. Yes. it is HEAVY...
I am fortunate enough to have a basement in my home, and my wife understands that THAT half of our basement is mine!
