Hammer and Brush September 2006

Our expanding painting service is now eagerly accepting commissions for the months of September and October. Our business has expanded and updated, all of which is illustrated in our website with new photos of recent commissions. We are proud of our work and every commission we receive is posted on our website!

www.hammerandbrush.net

Now is the perfect time to try out our service. Our August commissions have wrapped up and now you can be first in line to commission us for September and October. We offer reasonable prices and good turnaround time on our tabletop painted miniatures.

Not sure if you want to purchase from us just yet? Why not send us a test model that we will paint to your specifications and send back to you for free!

Questions? Comments? We look forward to hearing from you, send us an email at hammerbrush@gmail.com or PM us on Yahoo IM at hammerbrush or even try our phone at 847 853 6113

Each of our staff has over ten years of gaming and wargaming experience. Among us we have Art, Graphic Design, and Military History degrees and work as professional artists.

The more business that we receive from everyone out there the more time we can devote to our new business! This is the job we love and are eager to show everyone what we can do for you.

Are you sure that your website is functioning? I go there and find no pictures of your work, nor links to pictures of your work. If your website is functioning correctly, may I strongly suggest that you post some pictures of your work.

I am not seeing a gallery link. If there is one, it must be hidden and that is NOT a good thing for a website.

its at the bottom, and it may just be me, but it looks like everything is dipped or super duper clear coated.

Darrian, I was having the same problem as you. You need to scroll to the bottom of the page, then go to the center and scroll down further, near the box "Adeptus blah blah blah". Blah blah being the indecipherable crap in the box.

Might want to look into the design of that page guys. If the main page is any indication of what a customer can expect, I'll give my hard earned $ else where.

While it's no indication of your painting skills, people want to know that the service and everything else is as good as the painting. The main page isn't doing you guys the credit it should.

Might I suggest putting the menu on your home page in the top left like the rest of your site? Might make life easier for people like Darrian and I.

Thanks Flagg07. I did find it.

I gotta agree with Reecius, those models all look dipped. I am not impressed with the quality of the paint jobs. The Demon prince is a very poor paint job. I am a terrible painter and I could do that poorly. I was very interrested in that model because I am considering having mine professionally done. I figure it is the centerpiece of my army so I really should have it well done. These guys will not get my business for tha model.

Totally agree that those pics are what the average painter could do.

Thing is, that's their mission statement.

On the other hand, I think I'd want to atleast post some of my best stuff just to show that I had the abilities. Dunno, I think they need some more time to develop this business.

Sorry folks seems there's been a glitch in the website since I had to take the business computer in to be serviced. You are quite right that the links are jumbled in there at the bottom among the banners. Sorry for the mix up have it fixed as soon as possible.

Flagg thanks for pointing out our mission statement. We paint miniatures for the tabletop and our prices reflect that. I can completely understand wanting to have a centerpiece to your army painted up well but you'll be sure to pay for that sort of paint job.

Hammer and Brush is there for folks who don't have the time or motivation to paint those squad upon squad of minis that are sitting in their homes and want them on the table with a nice paint job but don't want to pay Golden Demon prices.

And unless asked to do so we really don't dip our minis, the clear coating is gloss varnish and is one of the options we offer to finish the models once painted. Normally most commissions are matt varnished and as we get more commissions in that are varnished in such a way we will be putting up their photos as well.

Whoops! It seems there was a glitch with the website overnight that I didn't become aware of till very late (or very early). Luckily thanks to some observant gamers who were checking out the site it came to my attention and now Hammer and Brush is back to normal for everyone's viewing pleasure! Thanks for the heads up folks!

Good luck with your biz!
