7 death guard terminators, and swap the havoc squad for another predator to make up the points difference? I really don't think that Chaos lists need two hqs. So many things are such a great buy in the list already. The statured prince is a phenomenal buy, but a lieutenant rarely seems that great. Particularly in the sect armies (nurgle, khorne, etc), you run with lower model count too, so I think you'd be better off getting more warm bodies. I also think if you do keep the havoc squad you should give them tankhunter before infiltrate, as you're short of ranged antitank--only able to engage two targets per turn. Would also lose all those plasmaguns from your troop squads and get meltas or flamers, because losing 20-some point nurgle marines to overheating sucks

I like Mutated Hull on DP preds, but your mileage may vary. Also, I would field a mix of squads, some with 2x MG, some with 2x PG. And finally, consider the manreaper on your lord instead of the plague sword. The manreaper is the best weapon available to Chaos IMHO. Otherwise looks good!

Plasma guns have about a 21% chance to kill you each time you double tap them. His squads are 189, or 27 points a model. Therefore, statistcaly, he's losing about 5.7 points a shot. As long as he shooting at something worth more than 6 points(8 in 5+ cover, 11 in 4+), he coming out ahead. Plasma guns have 24" range also (reducing the risk of dying to 1/12, about 8%) and kill twice as much as a melta gun at 12". Melta is great against armor, especially at < 6" but for most other uses, plasma is superior. That being said, I do take 1 squad with 2 melta and pistol/ccw. As far as your list goes, I would take a defiler over a 3rd pred, and manreaper is better than the plague sword unless you are fighting another character, but hidden powerfist is a better way to handle them. edit; changed some numbers since I forgot to account for 2 shots being fired doing more casualties.

Hidden powerfist is a upgraded troop (sgt, aspiring champion, etc) with a powerfist. Reason it's called hidden is that you can't target him, so he's "hidden"

You remove casualties like you do with shooting now, so the power fist wouldn't die until everyone else in the killzone is dead.

o wow so you no matter what get a to hit one thing with it? How does hand to hand work on tanks it use to be real ez tto blow up a tank with a powerfist Also in with the man reaper the old rules were a modal had to be in base to base contact to attack it the way i read the man reaper it only gets extra attacks if the model in base to base contact the only was that would happen is if the charage you not you charge them is there something new that makes this good?
