Hey all.

Got rather bored tonight and managed to create a model that im VERY happy with. Tis a Prototype for my Tau human auxiliaries unit (should i decide to make it)

The body is from a Tau fire warrior, the Gun is a modifyed Starship trooper gun (i added the end of a tau pulse rifle to the bottom for the marker light and the sight from a pulse rifle to tau it up a bit more) the legs are a catachan jungle fighter and the helmet is from the Guard tank sprew.

Good man. I'm actually pretty surprised lots of people aren't doing FW / Cadian swaps, even if you just use FW torsos and cadian legs and heads, it works fine.

What I hear usually is "but human auxilliaries suck" to which the only answer is "um, just use them as fire warriors then?"

Well my plan for them is to be a suprise Anti Dreadnaught assult unit and extra maker light for the army. Since you can fit them with EMP grenades and they are cheeper than the FW. Generaly your opponent is not going to expect and assult from a squad of Guard into a dreadnaught!

very impressive. I've seen similar ideas from a comrade here. He event greenstuffed some of the poneytail hairpieces on them-simulated humans attempting to mimic Taui fashion. he did use them as FW's however.

I always thought a combo would make a nice variant carapace IG unit as well.

If you think they can have EMP grenadaes and Markerlights on the leader, you are using the old Auxillary rules. FW "Taros Campaign" book has the 'real' one.

The GW rules are no less "real" then the Taros ones. The Rules can still be downloaded. And if i happen to take this list to a tournament (im in australia mind you) In most cases they dont allow forgeworld rules. But chapter approved is

Thanks Pieman. It took a few hours to work him out cause i kept on sticking and breaking him trying to get the right position and style.

The bits arnt hard to track down at all, The only think you might have trouble with is the Gun, Its not a GW part. The gun is from the new starship troopers game and i fortunatly had a friend at out local club who had spares from his pathfinder army set.

But if you can get them its fairly simple to replicate. The other bits are... a cadian right gun arm, the helmet from the IG tank extras sprew, A Tau fire warrior torso and shoulder pad, the end of and site of a pulse rifle, a pair of Catachan legs, and one of the ends from the Tau scanners for his coms Antenna.

But if you have all the bits it shouldent take more than about 30 mins or so to knock them up. Just have to make sure you get all the parts in the right spots. Otherwise it takes a fair bit longer.

Ive done a few more members for his squad also. Shall be posting them up soon
