I got a few pewter night goblin netters to go with my skull's pass plastics, but they're way bigger than the plastics and don't look that great together.  I'm thinking of just converting some of the plastics, but I'm not sure what to make the nets out of.  Has anybody converted nets for minis that look cool, and if so what did you use?

PS- I know that there will be netters in the new NG regiments, but I don't want to get a several more full units just for the netter bits.

Wait until they new NG regiments are released and order the netter bits from Battlewagon Bits.

Otherwise, I'd suggest getting some fine netting, like from old stockings or a minnow net, roll it up and put it in the gobbos hands as if they were carrying it (or drape it over their shoulders?). K&S also has etched brass sheets so you could possibly model some gobbos ready to throw the net, though you'll eithen need to or want to sculpt an edge to the net and some weights. Regardless, you're in for some work if you convert it.

My last suggestion would be to find some v5 or earlier gobbos with nets. It was the v6 figures that were oversized, the older figs don't have the same scale problem.

And there are always the plastic mesh bags that some fruits or vegetables are sold in.

He's got a mind like a steel trap. By which I mean it can only hold one idea at a time;
it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.

Actually, you can nab some medical gauze and cut that up. Or use an old screen door. Used it to camo up my tanks and it worked nicely.

Second that - soaking the netting in a 50% water PVA  glue really adds to the stiffness without making it look to unrealistic.

2014 will be the year of zero GW purchases. Kneadite instead of GS, no paints or models. 2014 will be the year I finally make the move to military models and away from miniature games.
