Swooping Hawk Exarch, with Sustained assault makes 4 attacks on the Charge. Lets say he rolls 3 hits and 1 miss. According to the description, it says for each CC Hit he makes, he rolls an extra attack. So does that mean he gets to roll each time for those 3 hits. And thats 3 seperate times your rolling untill you miss? Thats how I read it, but I just wanted to clarify it.

Each attack die is rolled until it misses, and the total hits tallied up. So he hits 3 out of 4, rolls again with 3, hits with 1, rolls 1 again, hits again, rolls 1 again, and misses. There would be 5 total hits to resolve.

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.
But there's no sense crying over every mistake;
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

I use this. A lot depends on the outcome of the first roll and there's a really wide variance. He hits most things on 3s, so on a lucky charge you get 3 hits initially, on a bad one you only get 2. Sometimes I've gotten more than 20 hits in a round, sometimes only 2 or 3 total. It usually hovers somewhere in the 12-15 hit range.
But then, of course, you usually need 5's to wound, so it typically works out to about 3-5 wounds regardless of how many hits. That's comparable to other power-weapon squad upgrade characters in other armies.
Then considering that the rest of the squad isn't going to do any wounds and can't take that many return hits with only T3 and a 4+ save, and it works out pretty well balanced.

Where it really shines is against Sisters of Battle, who have a 3+ save but onyla toughness of 3.

Man, that's the joy of Anime! To revel in the complete and utter wastefullness of making an unstoppable nuclear-powered combat andriod in the shape of a cute little girl, who has the ability to fall in love and wears an enormous bow in her hair. |
