Okay, my biggest problem is nids, I don't know why but I don't know what I am suposed to target over other units in a nid army. To let you know, my army is very heavy weapons oriented. I have 6 lascannons 8 rockets and 4 HB's. So my question to you dakka: What takes priority when fighting nids?

Things that move fast are your absolute priority.

I would debate this, I think it depends on the type of nid list. If it is a horde I say the synapse takes priority, as you'll never thin down the horde quickly enough. If it's a Nidzilla list, I say go after the fast stuff then, as you can take bases off with the rippers and can usually out manuver the larger slower stuff.

Hmm. I think I am going to have to disagree.
I think, kill the Flyrant first, if you get a chance. If they let you see, or you can open up a view, take down the Zoas. Next target is the Dakkafex. They are where most of the killing power in the list is.
If at any point you can get a target on any stealers or raveners, take them down. If you can charge the fexs with your Assault Squads without having to worry about stealers taking you down, you can cut out alot of the oomph of the zilla list.

as already noted it real;ly depends on the list, but a good rule of thumb is to treat his fex's and tyrants like tanks and everything else as assault troops give the big guys lots of concentraited las love. and use whatever dakka, ordinancem frags etc.... you have to mow down the hordes of gaunts etc... to keep them away from your units so they don't tie them up and keep them from shooting.

if you are an infantry heavy shotty list, then you absolutely need to take out the fast stuff first in order to give your guns as many tunrs to shoot as possible. if they tie you up in HtH, you are toast.
If you are vehicle heavy shooty, then venom cannons need to die first, without question.
When i play nids with my IG (vehicle heavy) I go in this order:
Venom cannons, Flyrants, fast redning troops HtH canrifexes horde troops,
why? My tanks are all but immune to non rending hordes, they can be dealt with at my leisure, the venom canons are brutal and are usually hardest to kill (Carnies in heavy cover) the flyrant can be a nightmare to tanks too, and the fact that he is so fast makes him a big threat. same goes for fast moving rending broods HtH canries are too slow, but if they do get in charge range, they will wreck your tanks, so they are a threat, finally, the little guys can be dealt with as needed, and unfortunately, that task usually falls to the poor guardsmen, who often end up tyranid lunch.
With my infantry heavy marines, i shoot the fast stuff that can get me locked into HtH first, somtetimes sacrifcing a scout squad to slow down the really fast movers. in HtH with anything that ignores armor saves, scouts are better than normal marines because they are cheaper, get the same amount of attacks and the vet sarge with a fist can get lucky and kill one of the big beasties. You need to screen your shooty elements to keep them in the game. Use your assault troops and or terminators to get into HtH with shooty Fexes. Shooty fexes get rolled in HtH against dedicated assault units pretty easily. The tyrants are what should scare you.
also, the sige dreadnaught will be your favorite model against the Nids, gotta love that guy.
Good luck, i always love playing bugs, its always a fun game.
