Since my Drop Pods won a lot but got smoked by Zilla Nids and Blood Angels, heres a new concept that is meant to play to the SW strengths:

Anvil:

2 x 15 Blood Claws, each with 3 Fists and Flamer

+ Rune Priest with Storm Caller.

You can hardly shoot them (14 point ablative wounds with 5+/3+ save)
And you can hardly assault them (many ini 10 normal attacks, many Powerfists)

These will ruin most assault armys days and will force shooty armys into their zone...

Hammer:

6 Wolfscouts with Meltagun, 1 Packleader with Powerfist

These enter from the opponents zone directly into Devastators and Tanks.

Firesupport:

3x Whirlwind (one with smokelauncher in case I need to hide Whirlwinds behind each other when terrain is lacking)

These are the only Tanks in the army and will ideally be hidden behind terrain, so opponents Lascannons will be wasted on cheap Blood Claws. They kill Stealers that lurk behind MCs and force shooty armys to spread out, which brings them closer to the Blood Claws and makes them more vulnerable to ....

Flanking:

Drop Pod with 10 Grey Hunters, 2 Powerfists 1 Meltagun

2x Tornado Speeder

3 Blood Claw Bikes with 2 Powerfists

2 HQs on bikes with 4+ invul. save and Powerfists that always hit on 3+ (These can join the Blood Claw bikers to gain ablative wounds)

1850 pts

Overall strengthes:

- Unpredictable, resiliant (either tough or easy to hide), versatile and propably very good in softscores (SW are not flavour of the month, the army is very diverse and less annoying than all Drop Pods for example).

Weaknesses:

-It wont win against IW on an open Board. Hmmm...^^

So what daya think???!!=?=

I did not see any units to deal with armor. Las predators are a better choice than the whirlwinds.

Put the large bloodclaw pack in a crusader and run them up the feild that way. Sometimes you have to take the fight to them.

Add an extra landspeeder to that unit. I find that they work better in threes or as single units. Pairs don't cut the mustard.

I like the Hqs on bikes and using them to float from unit to unit. good choice.

Just some ideas

If you want your Scouts to be really effective at tank hunting, give them 1 meltagun, 2 plasma pistols and melta bombs, and nothing more.

I'd also give more shooting weapons to your drop podding hunters, for example two more plasma psitols. With only a meltagun they are wasting a free shooting round.

Also the Bike unit is way too small.

You could also replace a whirlwind whith either a vindicator or a full las predator.

Otherwise your list is quite original
