I've posted an out-of-the-wrapper review of the new WFB 7th Edition Battle for Skull Pass on my website: weetoysoldiers.com Lots of photos as usual, including scans of all the sprues (front and back)! Please let me know if you find any typos or broken links. And feedback/comments are always welcome!

Nice pics! Much nicer paintjobs than I thought they could hold. Good show.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.
I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil |

Thank you. I'm still working on finishing my Dwarf Warriors--gotta do something about the eyes (I suck at painting eyes). Here's another picture of them in progress:

These look really nice. I assume they were done over a white undercoat, because my dwarf(over black) looks much darker and has the hands painted as gloved hands.

With the galaxy as large as it is the odds of the average guardsmen seeing and fighting a marine or MEQ are relatively slim. Unfortunately the guardsmen in your (and anyone else who plays IG's) army are the REALLY, REALLY LUCKY ones that fight marines ALL the time... |

Hi Banesword,
No, they were painted over an undercoat of black gesso. The hands took 3 thin coats of Dwarf Flesh, as did the faces.

Those are very nice. Makes me want to buy a box even more! It wouldn't be too expensive for me to cook up a decent Orc and Goblin army with a little help from that box....

Thanks for the coverage.
I bought it last week (got the main rulebook day after it was released) and my mini rulebook was loose in the box and the cover bent over and slightly damaged.

I got myself a really cheap Orc & Goblins army. I bought the old 6th Ed starset when that came out, and a friend and me shared two boxes of Skull Pass. He got the dwarfs, I got the Goblins. So I have over 100 Night goblins, almost 40 Orcs, an orc chariot and half a dozen characters for a lot less than $100. Also got some 4th or 5th Ed goblins from a friend. There's some serious saving.
