I like the somewhat goofy minatour. The kill brute is interesting at first glace, but odd when you look at the details. What is up with the swiss cheese hip armor?

First, looks like there's a darklands kickstarter coming!

I admit, the attempt to defend the Banebreasts made me chuckle, especially when the interviewer just plain contradicted him about what the criticisms had been like.

That said, something I don't remember seeing anywhere is--how big is an "average" Darklands army expected to be, and how expensive? Given how costly the models are, I think being expected to shell out for 20+ infantry and multiple monsters is going to be onerous, never mind Warhammer scale.

The most amusing bit is the ultimate defense is "they sell boatloads". Which is a perfectly fine justification for a miniature's existence, so one does wonder why the elaborate and increasingly silly faux erudition on the matter?

As the owner of large Fomoraic things - and disillusioned with warhammer but still in love with fantasy critterdom - I am extremely interested in a Darklands kickstarter

I'm confused; does this mean banebeasts will no longer be available at maelstrom?

I'm sure they will, the same guy owns Maelstrom, Mierce Miniatures and Eye of the Storm.

"Banebeasts" have been converted to Darklands, and they are available still at Maelstorm. But under the name "Darklands" instead.

You might want to risk getting them now as they probably won't be around much longer, however as it's the final day of the "final sale"...the final, final, final...FINAL sale I'm not sure if you'll actually receive anything through? Depends on how many they need to get rid of

How do you expect me to know what it is if you haven't painted it! Unpainted models are just proxies for the real thing
