The new eldar codex is hitting the streets so we should all be able to penetrate skimmers in close combat again since their FAQ is now invalid.

Your right that the old Eldar codex FAQ is invalid. However, the new general rule book FAQ says that any glancing or penetrating hits, from any weapon, close combat or shooting, against a skimmer that moved over 6" in the last turn, count as glancing.

I will check the new FAQ tonight to verify what you say.
