Armorcast Terrain Has New Owner

On October 1st, 2006, Mega Miniatures became the new owner of the majority of the Armorcast terrain designs. Starting in February of 2007, Mega Miniatures will begin re-releasing Armorcast resin terrain under the Armorcast Terrain label to wholesalers and retailers worldwide.

Watch for upcoming products and release dates at megaminis.com.

The original Armorcast company under Tim DuPertuis will continue to operate as Armorcast Models - at armorcast.com - and will specialize in 1/60th scale BattleTech 'Mechs and vehicles under its continuing BattleTech license from WizKids, Inc.

The Mega Miniatures label was created in 2003 and is owned by Discount Hobby Inc., a company that has been part of the gaming community since 1985.

Armorcast was founded in 1995, and has been a pioneer in quality large-scale gaming models and highly detailed gaming scenery for 11 years.

Sweet. I always liked their terrain. Great looking, durable and affordable at the same time.

Great news. Mega-Miniatures has done a great job picking up discarded lines.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

Good news indeed.

That reminds me. I recently saw three of the old armorcast titans (two Eldar and one Imperial) as well as five Eldar superheavies being used in a friendly game. The owner was an Outrider (what ever happened to that program anyway?) and former car painter. He had put a nice paintjob on those models...something you would normally see on a show car. The eldar models were done in an opalescent purple with gold highlights and looked sharp while the Imperial was done in a standard red and black. My only regret was only seeing them under flourescent lights and not sunlight. :\
