Gona go a bit off topic sadly, but just wondering why that beats a Monolith. Sorry I have not played 40k much because of fantasy 8th being the bestest ever lol. Monolith doesn't let you have multiple dice for pen and dont those marines weapons only double your str from 4 to 8? You can only glance in that case. I've had those issues brought up at so many games lol. They are a scary unit though touche

Unfortunately, you are incorrect... Normal Thunder Hammers function exactly like a Power Fist, with the added bonus that any "Damaged" result on the Damage Chart also adds a "Crew Shaken" result, and any creature that is wounded by it will strike at Init 1 on the following turn (assuming it survives until then).

Lysander's Thunder Hammer (aka: "The Fist of Dorn") is a special Thunder Hammer that strikes at Str 10 AND adds +1 to the roll of a Damage Chart (like an "AP 1 weapon" would)

Also, I don't know if Abaddon would be the perfect counter to Lysander either... That's more of a 50/50 match, IMHO. If Abaddon were to get the Assault, then I'd give him a slight edge, but if Lysander charges, it'll be closer. Either way, I don't see Abaddon as the absolute winner.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but your suppose to beat the unit right? Hydra flak tank will kill a HWS.

It depends on who shoots first. 3 Lascannons? That'll kill a Hydra no problem. But 4 twin linked autocannon shots will kill a HWS no problem.

...And somehow I feel we've had this debate before in this thread.
