hi everybody...since i only gat a camera a couple months ago, i never did get any pics of the minis i painted for privateer...just found one in the gallery the other day...this was the first mini i painted for them...it was for the 2004 catalogue...i had two days to do it...i went on to paint almost exclusively for them for the next couple years...it's nice to be independent now and gettin' commissions to paint other company's minis for a change...

Could be cleaner if you ask me. The metal high lights are very well done. So what's up next?

Cleaner? Could you point out what you mean? The stuff that looks
"dirty" to be reads as "Cryxian" rather than sloppy. For example, the
black parts on the reaper blade seems sloppy washing at first, but
I realize it's a metallic effect (at least that's why I like it). I could
be wrong, but I'd like to see it from your perspective.

Me, I'm loving it. That's a great treatment for a model painted to show so much metal. Quite lovely.

glad everyone is diggin' the mini...this is a normal week or so of work packed into two days, and a few years back...for an up to the minute mini that i took my time on, i will be postin' pics of the seether that i was hired to paint for a local guy in the purple color scheme that dan smith did in no quarter magazine...it's turnin' out sick...hopefully my photography will do the mini a little bit of justice...

i did the slayer in bone, cause they looked like horns...these just screamed out big metal tusks to me...they are very angular...it's unfortunate that i painted him so clean, but i just can't bring myself to paint a dirtied up mini...typhus was about as close as i got, w/ a bit of weathering...all the cryx i have painted look like they just stepped outta the car wash...
