i am basicaly aiming to do a leathal amount of damage in very short order, then just run rings around the oposing army, i also, need to fill 800 pts, im thinking shining spears and 2 prisms? what you guys rekon?

this what i currently have, i need to expand it, most of players i play are space marines, and have 1-2 super squads of doom, like chaplin and Dc, which the rest ofthe army just supports, im hoping to move around these elements with superior mobility, adn pick of the rest of the army, then i can just spread out and slowly anhilate the super units o doom.

If you go with prisms, your grav tanks are clearly split between transports and firepower. So shooty armies will always know to shoot the transports first, while assaulty armies will always know to shoot the firepower tanks first.

You need need vectored engines. Not having them is like writing a death sentence for your aspect warriors.

Mostly, though, this army need some follow-up. Right now it zooms up, the guys get out, shoot, and then stand in the open and get shot/assaulted to death in the following turn.

I like the concept behind this list, but a lot of your success with it will follow your execution.

If you are jumping out of your transports on turn two, you are asking to loose. You want to capitalize on harasing fire power and wait for the right moment to strike, whether its on an over extended flank, or a section of the army you can concentrate on a reliable kill.

I agree wholehartedly with Flavius, you need vectored engines, and immobilized Sepent is still a shooting one, and it doesn't hurt your guys either.

You need a good assault element in your list to tie up the return fire. I would either recommend a small unit or Harlies in a Falcon or a big unit of Banshees in a Wave Serpent.

So here are the changes, I would make:

Add a bike Farsheer.

Drop a unit of Dire Avengers and take a bike squad as your second troops

Take two Fire Prisms

Add a unit of Banshees in a Wave Serpent.

That way you still have 5 Skimmers in the list. All you have to do with the Banshee skimmer is get it on the enemy lines, you could even Star Engine it by a flank. Then the turn you "shock" the enemy, is the turn they get out and assault the enemy line (make sure you doom the unit first).

Current Armies: Blood Angels, Imperial Guard (40k), Skorne, Retribution (Warmachine), Vampire Counts (Fantasy)
