Hey all. Here are two of the twenty four chaos dwarfs I am going to be assembling. They're a combination of plastic dwarf, chaos warrior and marauder bits, with men-at-arms halberd heads and green stuff to make everything fit. The arms are a tad long, but it's not so noticeable when they're not magnified. Also, my camera sucks.

Solid look, but the chaos warrior heads seem too small. Chaos Warriors are built to have large bodies and small heads, while dwarves tend to have pretty big heads+beards and helmets with tall crests/horns to go with being short. Combining a dwarf's short body with a chaos warrior's small head makes them look more diminutive than they actually are. Without any large headgear, the way the skirt armor flares out makes them quite bottom heavy, adding to the shortness. If you want them to look 'bigger' without being bigger, maybe some shoulder armor would work. Like with dress clothing, taller shoulders can really make one appear larger/more impressive. Or horns that turn upwards. Things like that could also be used to differentiate hero/leader types from the rank and file. But they're already good as they are, and would look nice in rank and file. Got any particular theme going?

They look great JoJo, nice work so far. The halberd/great weapons are an especially nice touch. I'm definately looking forward to seeing a bunch of the buggers ranked up, so keep us posted!

With the galaxy as large as it is the odds of the average guardsmen seeing and fighting a marine or MEQ are relatively slim. Unfortunately the guardsmen in your (and anyone else who plays IG's) army are the REALLY, REALLY LUCKY ones that fight marines ALL the time... |

They remind me of the Chronopia Dwarves somehow.
What rules are you going to use them with? Chaos? Dwarves? Your own?
Anyway, keep up the good work!

Responses!
K_K: If it's not too much trouble, I'll take them. Do you still need warrior bodies?
kikko: The plan is to give them shoulder-pads. I have not added them yet because these two blighters are my test models which will be used as references for when I'm building the rest. As to the heads being too small, I think it looks better. I plan on chopping off the larger horns on the warrior heads. They make the heads look too big.
Banesword: I think I saw that on the hand of hashut forum before it went down. Pretty keen!
Syr: I'm running them as hordes of chaos. It's allowing me to run some zany units that I would not otherwise be able to (Daemon possessed golems, units of slaves, whirlwinds/tenderisers) with the regular chaos dwarf list. I also figure that it has more long term play value.
