Can Alpha Legion Raptors have the discounted Infiltrate skill?

The entry says any Chaos Space Marine on foot.

1) To what does Chaos Space Marine refer? Anything which has that squad name? Anything which has that profile (e.g. Havocs)?

2) Jetpacks start off the turn "on foot" - but they do they count as such?

I'm thinking they don't get it, but the use of the words Chaos Space Marine also seems to rule out ICs from having it, despite the fact that they have a seperate cost.

Raptors are models on foot. As in they are not mounted on/in anything. The only things that can't get the discount are bikes and models with dedicated transports.

Sounds very fishy, but also very cool. very very cool indeed.

Be great for killing tanks especially if you get first turn, give them three meltas/2 meltas 1 plas and slap on an asp champ with melta bombs and go land raider/falcon hunting

It sounds pretty sweet - but it's not as effective as one might think. Someone has tried this build with Nightlords (given the extra Raptor choices) and it is not as effective as an infiltrating 88 Alpha Chaos list.

The big problem is that escalation trumps infiltrate, so in 2/3 of the games, your infiltrating raptors either don't get to infiltrate or start off the board.

But for a unit of 6, it's only 6 points. Which is worth only using it in a third of matches I think.

If you are playing the missions in the back of the BGB, then 1/3 of the games are "Alpha" and there is no infiltrating and 1/3 of the games are "Omega" and the raptors start in reserve. If you play in RTT's and they use the 3rd ed missions, then 5(?) of the 14 are also reserves and many do not have the "infiltrators" rule.

Exactly. If you're playing without the proper ratio of Alpha (no Infiltrate), Gamma (perfect for this list) and Omega (Raptors forced into Reserves), all-infiltrating Alpha Legion will be very powerful indeed.
