2000pts Eldar Combined force List [/b]

Hi all.

I’ve been playing BT since the codex came out and wanted to try something a bit different. So I’m going to start an elder army.

This is a list that I’ve put together to take on Nids, Marines, Necron and Space wolves. Being new to the elder I’d like some advice before I rush out and buy the models.

Any feedback will be gratefully received.

I had thought about swapping the harlies out for shining spears as both would roughly be the same points and fulfil the same role only the spears would be quicker but more targetable.

I like the DA in WS as I like the FOF tactic that Tau can use.

I still have 4 pts to spend.

What advice could you give me?

Id lose one Power on the Farseer to save points (guide for example).

The walking Harlequin units dont really fit with the rest of the army right now.

Prisms are overrated imo.

Pathfinders add diversity and nice models, but in regard of pure efficiency they dont seem to ad too much.

What about 2x Falcon, 1x Reapers for Heavy support?

The reason I took the Harlies is to be able to assault/counter assault anybody coming too close to dire avengers/pathfinders.

I know Banshees could do the same job but without giving them a transport they'd get chewed up on the way in.

At least with Harlies they'd be more difficult to target. I'm relying on the fleet for the harlies to keep in the same ball park as the DA's.

I had thought about reapers for 1 heavy slot but I feel that in the opening turns of escalation they and the pathfinders would be the only targetable units on the board. The pathfinders would at least have 2+ or 3+ cover save making the reapers the prime target.

As for the Prisms I feel that they could provide either some long range anti tank/infantry firepower.

I could swap out the two of them for another snakes on a plane unit. Drop the Pathfinders which are quite pricey and then add more long range (Dark reapers), or assault (Shining spears)?

Suggestions?

Do whatever you have to to get 10 pts to get your autarch a fusion gun. just no reason not to.

In my original list I had looked to see where I could get the points for it but couldn't see where to get the points from.

I suppose I could drop one of the Farseers powers to free up some points.

Other than that does the list cover all area's?

What lists do you think It'll struggle against?

Take one of the powers off your farseer to pay for the fusion gun and whatever. he only needs two (doom and guide, or guide and fortune)

I think you should also eke the points out to go all falcons. with all those squads of 6 it seems a shame not to

Then swap one squad of harlies for more fire dragons to up your antitank quotient a little. Use the points to put shuriken cannons on all your falcons.
