Recently, a group of Imperial Guard players (Task Force Serpent) from the Medusa V campaign decided to pass the time with a short term campaign of our own.  Its basics are taken from both the Armageddon3 and Medusa V campaigns - with maybe a little bit of Eye of Terror mixed in.   We have made a map that breaks down into four continents and 25 battle locations to fight over.  Currently we have 33 players registered with the majority being Imperial Guard players, thus we need more of the other factions represented.

If anyone is interested, then check out the site - the more the merrier.   The start of the campaign will begin on December 14.

A few of the options are:

1: Each player fills out a registration form for the campaign and an ID number will be emailed back.

2: Players do not have to play against a registered opponent - but it would be nice.

3: This campaign is purely for fun and to entertain the players.

4: Each player may post a battle only where his faction may fight.  Each battle location has certain factions that may fight there (ie Orks have 8 locations in which they can fight).

5:  Each location has percentages that the factions present will attempt to change in their favor (much like the Armageddon3 campaign).  If one faction drops another to 0%, that does not carry over to any of the other factions present however - ie. if IG, Orks, Chaos and Tau are fighting for a location and the Orks drop the IG to 0%, then any further fighting against IG will have no effect on the Chaos or Tau - each faction must be attacked seperately to gain 100% ownership.

6: Each faction can fight any of the other factions in at least one other location on the map.   7 locations have only Chaos/Imperial combatants.  If a faction gains 90% control of a nearby location however, then that faction can move outward to attack a location they couldn't normally attack.

7:  The battle registration form has a battle report section to post any battle reports or they can be posted at the campaigns forum if the player wants. There is not a requirement to join unless you want to put your battle reports up for everyone to read.   http://www.aokforums.com/sapper/

8: Each Continent map also has maps for Imperial/Chaos and Xenos positions shown.  How well or how badly a faction does WILL be shown on the maps with their territory expanding or shrinking.

9: Updates each week are currently planned - but may be subject to the number of members (ie. how much information that has to be sifted through).

10: Battle Fleet Gothic games will also be incorporated.  Majority control of space will have an impact on at least one battle location per week (Note: Majority Control).

11: Currently the campaign is scheduled to run for 2-3 months, but if interest remains high then the time frame will be extended.

12: For Dark Eldar players there will be a slave counter.  Each battle they win will add slaves to their list (divided up among the other factions and civilians) and their battles can help or hurt the side of their choice.

Hey,

Campaigns are great fun, and I like them a lot. Yours looks great.

All materials are neat and well organized; an obvious labor of love.

The only jarring note is item #3, above.

IMO, this is best kept a tacit rule . . .

Be sure and keep us updated!

I'm really looking forward to this, but we could use a few extra Chaos players.

Question about this Campaign??

1. Is it still active?
2. Does one need to be in the local area to join?
