Please tell me what you think.
a) Even though he is on a jetbike, the Autarch will join the Warp Spiders.  Still gets good movement, and also gets Hit and Run (Withdrawl), but with more models than if I use Shining Spears.  His 6 S6 attacks should be enough to cause some damage.  Please don't tell me to use Shining Spears.  I won't.
b) Eldrad's skill will be used to redeploy the tanks into safe positions, (that first turn can be a killer for Eldar).  Eldrad hangs with the Fire Dragons and casts Eldrich Storm (twice if needed) to almost ensure a rear shot on enemy tanks.

My concerns:
1) Low model count.  Even for Eldar.

Overall it looks like a kinda boring uninspired "let's buy a bunch of grav tanks and hope it works out" take on the new Eldar codex.

Why would fire dragons need rear shots on armor? Multiple S8 Ap1 Melta shots. Hardly necessary. 6 of them will put a penetrating hit on a monolith over half the time. The exarch is also superfluous.

I think you will find that Harlequins are not reliably killy enough in a 6 man package without the troupe leader.

I really think Eldrad is too expensive. Literally the only thing he can do that is even meaningful is guide two units or fortune two units or doom two units. Even then, of arguable utility since fortune with a bunch of weak units is pointless and guide is not that great in your list (you don't have enough guns in one unit to make guide that great). Doom is questionable too.

Basically I don't think this list needs psychers, at all. Nothing really that vulnerable to shooting that needs fortune and nothing that heavily loaded with guns needs guide or doom.

I would consider just dropping Eldrad right out and buying more of the better stuff.

Warp spiders, while they are OK, have to be played with a very aggressive army because they have such a short range - they essentially have to be within 10-11" to reliably get all their shots and then only go an average of 7" back. Unfortunately this leaves you right in cherry picking range - the opponent can drop a lot of hammers on you and score a lot of vps very easily.

The fundamental problem with the spiders is that in the type of list that would suit them, there are no points left for them - all your points are taken by better shooting units, fighty units, and tanks.

They would do best in a 2000 pt list that had already used its elites and heavies and really needed a bunch of fast attack to fill out points - and you have enough assault (some shining spears, an autarch or two) to support them.

Eldrad's Divination ability can be very clutch. If folks aren't too aware of how it works, you can bait them with juicy Heavy Support targets, then move them. It's almost like getting Infiltrate for your tanks- IE allows you to set up after your opponent sets up his entire army. Even experience opponents will have to react somewhat to your initial set up as you don't have to reposition any of your units. This ability also is your own, uh-oh I screwed my deployment, fix it before the game begins.

Now, having said all that, I don't think Eldrad will benefit the Dragons by using Eldritch Storm. Their weapons alone should be enough so rear armor shouldn't even be a factor. I do agree w/ Longshot that Guide and Doom are a bit wasted on him as you don't have some big shooting units to go after infantry with. The Falcon is there with lots of shots, but it looks to be designed to deliver Harlequins and leave Eldrad long behind. So, it is a bit expensive to use him mainly for the Divination ability.

Using Spiders to deliver an Autarch into assault just to get the Withdraw ability seems wasted. The Autarch's hits on his own aren't enough, and there are no other heavy hitters in the squad to assist. This is why folks like the Shining Spears w/ Autarch combo. The only way I really see this working is simply assaulting simultaneous w/ the Harlies and Warp Spider/Autarch.

One other, less tangent factor. When folks see the unusual attachment of a bike IC and Jump troops (who jump in and out of the warp, fluff), they are going to start to wonder what loop holes you went looking for. While perfectly legal to do, it may get the ire of your opponents early in the game.

If you run the list, let us know how you fare. Good luck.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.
