Between a rock and a hard place

Just having a flick through the DE codex and noticed the entry for Screaming Jets, which allow Raiders to deep strike. Does anyone use these? It could be a nice way to get a few squads close without having to rely on a webway.

I've seen SJ used with all mounted DE.  Protects you if you don't get the first turn.  IIRC you can also disembark and blast the enemy with assault weapons like, well, Blasters.

4 of 5 raiders DS at one tome can put out a lot of hurt.

That's what I was thinking, but I've never seen them mentioned in Dark Eldar discussions. Even if you can't deep strike it's not very many points to give just a few raiders the upgrade, just in case.

The problem is that your troops can't get out until the next turn, so those fragile raiders have to survive a turn of shooting and since they die to almost every weapon in the game....

you'd have to deep strike real carefully so most of your raiders wound up somewhere they can't all be shot down (gl with that) or pack enough assault shooting punch with the squads inside (SC+B) to lay down enough fire to cripple the ennemy so he won't utterly destroy 90 % of your raiders on his turn. (gl with that again !)

It also depends on the local rules where you play.

If the blazing wreckage blocks line of sight then the loss of a single Raider may be worth it.

Even so, SJ still helps you on open tables in case you do not get the first move.  I've seen mounted DE armies wiped outin the first turn because the enemy went first, there was nowhere to hide and stationary, open-topped raiders are just deathtraps.
