Had a game last night with my buddy. It was my first game with imperial. The barracudas rapid deployed in the back. Of his cybertronic force and took out a volteir and a big exterminator robot. His damned voltigers killed most of my trenchers with their drones dropping mines. That's ok, I got something for him next game ;-)

You mentioned the old RPG, there is a new version of that out now, I think it was just released. I've heard that Chronopia my very well be making a come back near the end of the year. Not sure of that is still true or not, but I hope so, I missed it the first time around.

Chronopia is IMO the best fantasy miniature game made in a loooong while, so I hope it does,.

First I've heard of it. I doubt they'd be launching a new miniatures line so close to Space Crusade, but anything is possible.

No wargames these days, more DM/Painting.

I paint things occasionally. Some things you may even like!

I cannot find any evidence of that on the net - it would be fantastic anyway.

Back to Wzr... just bought some Dark Legion minis! Third army incoming...

I heard it from an employee last summer. Haven't heard anything else since. Apparently Prodos does have the rights to it, which is good. They have a lot of stuff going on so this might be in the mix as well.

And Dark Legion is AWESOME! I have them as well and they are a blast.

Can't wait to read the rules!

I'll buy Maculators and Wolves (I don't like their proportions but are nice models AND I play Wolfbanes too).

I definitely need two squads of those banshees.

So I just grabbed some clearanced Mutant Chronicles minis from FFG back when they and Paradox were working on the license. And I was wondering if these are compatible with War zone Resurrection or if there's a niche market for these things or if I should just chop them up for 40k/generic sci fi bits?

They are fairly comparable although the aesthetic is different and they can't be used in official Prodos sponsored events.

I have awoken from my WZ:R slumber. It is time to knock the dust off of my forces.

My informants have shown me what I might face in the coming months. Raven's forces will surely be tested against my half painted hordes.

In the middle of cleaning, I found a treasure trove! A 2nd edition Warzone Starter box! Now I am in possession of 40 Imperial Trenchers and 40 Bauhaus Hussar (in addition to an assortment of other pewter models)!

I saw on DakkaDakka that Prodos Games has a lot of the game stuff downloadable for free, but the link for Games Rules and Factions 1.6 isn't active. Anyone have information about this? I always had an on and off love affair with this game and hope its finally here to stay. The quality of the current downloadable stuff is amazing!

Hi

WZR 2.0 list of changes

Afternoon all, OK so I am not involved at all in writing 2.0, however here is couple bullet-points from the rules team about major changes:
- Faster, smoother Turn sequences resulting in quicker games.
- Removal of base sizes and base special attacks. Now each model has a Size modifier
- Armour stat has been increased by 10. You now simply subtract the Strength of the attack to find the Armour Save you have to roll.
- Vehicles are now statted the same as Infantry. No more AV/AVV
- RoF and RoA have been combined into RoA
- Added DEF to close combat allowing for more dynamic close combat.
- Changes to Terrain modifiers
- Condensed Card deck. 40 unique dual-purpose cards. 3 of the same cards each per play deck
- Removal of Squad Special Actions and CC special actions
- Cover modifier has changed (1 cover type)
- no more warlords / lords, just "heroes" (or whatever)
- there will be a new mission portfolio (some were unbalanced for tournament play)
- turn 1 and 2 have serious deployment restrictions (RD / Infiltrate)
- more deployment options (stalk, flank deployment)
- Restructurisation of the rulebook
- removed negative armour modifier for armour
- free pivot action at start of model activation
- revamped and more meaningful actions
- got rid of weapon ammo types
- changes in terminology to make things clearer
and few more

Not sure I like that change.

2.0 rules are supposedly free if you own the 1.0 rulebook.

Being able to hand in a hardback rules 1.3 for a softback 2.0 would make my day.
you have more info on this?

That was due to a post on the Warzone FB page but I just had another look and it wasn't by one of the Prodos guys so it may not be accurate.

This might revitalize the game. My group has played since 1st ed and we love the universe but while we love the minis from this edition, the rules were just too much. We also never use the cards outside of resource cards, too big a PITA for pick up games. For the last year or two we haven't done a whole lot with it. I have decent sized Imperial and DL armies I haven't even put together yet due to lack of need to play them.

Infantrymen do not die, they go to heaven and regroup.

Hi all 2 quick rules questions (even though rules might be changing soon). 1 do the named napharites know all the D psychic powers ontop of what you can buy them? 2 does weapon strength modify vehicle armor as well as avv or is avv the only thing that modifies vehicle armor?

1: Alas no All characters who can cast psychic powers (Art for Brotherhood, Ki for Mishima, Dark Symmetry for Legion) can only cast the powers that they buy (or get for free). The only thing that applies to D type powers when it comes to Legion is that casting a D type power does not cost an Action Point.
2: Only a weapon's AVV counts when it comes to damaging vehicles.
