I think this has been covered before, but sisters taken as allies use faith points? Or to be more precise, do you have any faith points. The wording seems to indicate that only witch hunter armies accumulate the points at the start of the game.

Well, all Sisters units are "faithfull" meaning they have acts of faith and generate faith points. I see where its says "A Witch Hunters Army" but that is only in the description of Faith Points. The description to who can use it is not concisely worded to be exclusive to "Witch Hunter Armies" and Faithful Units generate Faith points irregadless of which army they are in. To note as well, the passage you are referring to is in the Sister of Battle Special Rules, which faithful units suddenly are not Sisters of Battle? Also in the Allied section it refers to allied units as "Witch Hunter Units", which does the inclusion of such units constitute an army?

I can see the arguement that "Witch Hunters" armies are the only one that has access to faith points but it is pretty weak and not concisely worded enough to be even a good RAW arguement.

But I am sure people smarter than myself are going to turn this into a 3 page thread about something that isn't even worht the arguement.

Current Armies: Blood Angels, Imperial Guard (40k), Skorne, Retribution (Warmachine), Vampire Counts (Fantasy)

Some SOB units are already faithful (seraphim) or contribute faith (canoness). The majority of the others can only gain Faith by upgrading to a sister superior to become faithful and use acts of faith. The only way to generate Faith though is by upgrading your SOB units to have Vet sister superiors. So if you take a few allied units of SOB in say a IG army, the SOB unit can still generate a faith point for each vet sister in the units and in return those units can use acts of faith because they are faithful. However, per the rules on who can use acts of faith, SOB units cannot if they are joined, leading, or lead by non faithful units.

As in the Witchhunters FAQ under Faith points: "'A Witch Hunters army that includes' Should read 'An army that includes...' This sentance will be corrected in the next reprint."

I don't know if we like FAQs around here, but there is an official answer.

The rules on who can use acts of faith are simple and need not be repeated here.
