Hi, I've been lurking here for a while, and I used to post here a few years ago, but since I enjoy the cogent discussions here I figured I'd run this list by you guys for your enjoyment.
I went with a four horsemen of the apocalypse theme on this one. I've had this idea for awhile, and I thought that it would be a fun list to play, especially because I could spout nonsensical grim portents the entire time I'm playing, maybe even crack open a bible and start intoning the book of revelations for effect. I dusted off the old Eye of Terror codex to make it after an epiphany that I had on the can about it. That's sort of like a religious experience right? Therefore my toilet list is better than yours due to heavenly mandate! It's true...Think about it.
Also you should know that I'm fairly drunk right now. It's probably the least solid list (read: Terrible) I've ever written, but like I said, there's some good times to be had with this theme. Anyway, here it is:
This list uses the Lost and the Damned Rules from the Eye of terror Codex.
Legions of the Beast/ Forces of Armageddon/Army of the End Times/ The End of Days
HQ - War (Chaos Lord) - Steed, Power weapon, bold piston, MoCU, Strength, Essence, PI, Furious charge - 156 pts.
3 aspiring chamions - Famine (resilience, mark of slanesh, strength. pw, bp,)
Pestilence (resilience, mark of nurgle, resilience. pw, bp, strength)
Death (resilience, mark of nurgle, Manreaper, strength)
- 207 pts.
Troops - 2x 15 traitors (plasma gun, lascannon, agitator) - 320 pts.
2x 20 Mutants (khornate, mutant boss w/powerfist, 2 icon bearers) - 416 pts.
1x 5 traitors (lascannon, agitator) - 70 pts.
Fast attack - 2x 10 Chaos Hounds - 200 pts.
10 traitor rough riders (meltabombs, hunting lances) - 150 pts.
Heavy Support - Leman Russ (Lascannon, Hvy sponsons, smoke) - 168 pts.
Elites - 5 bloodletters - 130
11 Plague bearers - 176
Total: 1999
The lord goes with a squad of chaos hounds and the aspiring champions have to run with the mutants and traitors, though I'm going to model all of them on horses for the all-important effect.
I designed this list to make target prioritizing a difficult process. I think that worked out pretty well. Some of the problems that I can see with the list are that there's really nothing to take out vehicles and none of the units are particularly point efficient against MeQ's.
In any case I would like some input on this list - ideas to improve it( I don't know if any of you even have the Eye of Terror codex ready - good luck with that). Ideas to improve upon the theme would be great too, as I am short on ideas in my inebriated state. Thanks!
