Hey all, Here's a Farsight "crisis-wing" army. I love XV8's so I thought this list might be fun and competative. So on with the list and let the comments/critiques/critisms begin. Thanks Chappy P! Put the failsafe on one of the fireknives, don't kill your fusion blaster model unnecesserally.
You won't need blacksun filters on the "posse", that unit needs to get in close to be effective. I'd run a railhead instead of the broadside but that's a personal preference.
I actually have both "special issue" shas'vre and 1 less fireknife.

@Droidman: Thanks for the reply! Ok, I'll move the failsafe and put it on another model, one of the Fireknives. Do you like the Burst cannon/CIB combo?? How has it worked for you, I thought that both weapons are 18" range and both are asualt weapons, so I thought it was a great combo, especially the amount of shots it can pour out! I'll drop the black Sun filter of the "posse" and I'll se how many points that frees up. Lets take a look at the revised list below: HQ: Commander Farsight - 170 bodyguard, Airbursting Fragmentation Projector, Flamer, Hardwired Drone Controller with 2 shield drones, Targetlock, Hardwired Multi-Tracker Total: 107pts Bodyguard, Cyclic Ion Blaster, Burst Cannon, Targeting Array, Hardwired Drone Controller with 2 Shield Drones, Hardwired Multi-Tracker, Hardwired Target Lock Total: 111pts bodyguard, Twin-Linked Fusion Blaster, Hardwired Drone Controller with 2 shield drones, Targetlock Total: 88pts bodyguard, Fireknife, Hardwired Drone Controller with 2 shield drones, Targeting array, Hardwired Multi-Tracker, Hardwired Target Lock, Failsafe Detonator Total: 132pts bodyguard, Fireknife, Hardwired Drone Controller with 2 shield drones, Targeting array, Hardwired Multi-Tracker, Hardwired Target Lock Total: 117pts bodyguard, Fireknife, Hardwired Drone Controller with 2 shield drones, Targeting array, Hardwired Multi-Tracker, Hardwired Target Lock Total: 117pts bodyguard, Fireknife, Hardwired Drone Controller with 2 shield drones, Targeting array, Hardwired Multi-Tracker, Hardwired Target Lock Total: 117pts Shas'el Commander, Vectored Retro-Thrusters, Shield Generator, Fusion Blaster, Stimulant injectors Total: 102pts Elites: 1 Crisis Battlesuit Shas'ui, Deathrain, Black Sun Filter Total: 46pts 1 Crisis Battlesuit Shas'ui, Deathrain, Black Sun Filter Total: 46pts Troops: 6 firewarriors - 60 6 firewarriors - 60 Heavy Support: 2 XV88 broadside Battlesuit Team, Shas'ui Team leader with HW-Drone Controller, 2xASS, 2 shield drones - 195 1468pts Now I am tempted to drop a shield drone from somewhere and pick up another Deathrain suit, thoughts?? Keep them coming! Thanks, Chappy P! *edit* Had Failsafe Detonator twice and forgot to delete a HW BSF from one of the suits.

Not bad. A few things to consider when spending those last few points: 15 points for the Plasma upgrade and a hardwired multitracker on the Broadside Team Leader would be a nice investment. Also, if you're looking for a job that your Fire Warriors can do, perhaps pick up a Shas'Ui with Markerlight to bump up the BS of Farsight's unit.

I would also consider a Fusion Piranha, without it, you lose the ability to hit indirect/hidden threats, something that can very easily wreck the Farsight council.

@Chaiplin
Crisis suits have no business equiping burst cannons, ever. Put a plasma gun on that suit. I'm not sold on another deathrain.
The fusion piranaha is a good idea but I disagree with the plasma upgrades on the broadsides and the marker on the shas'ui. The FCW shouldn't be poking their heads out, they need to survive to take objectives and the broadsides probably won't be in range to ever shoot the plasma

Droidman: while I agree that there shouldn't be BCs on the suits in this army, the Firestorm (BC, MP, MT) is a surprisingly effective suit if you run the maths, but you NEED to take plasma BASS to cover the loss in low AP shooting.
I would recommend an AFP suit for some horde control in the unit, as well as some Heilos (PR, FB, MT) suits since you are going to be getting far closer to your opponent than normal, allowing you to fully utilize the power of that suit.

Thanks again for the replies!
I have heard about the Firestorm suit on The Advanced Tau Tactica Boards, but i haven't looked into it in great detail.
@The Professor: I do have a AFP suit as well as a twin linked Fusion suit in the "posse."
I originally had a single Fusion Pirahna, but I thought that a single pirahna seemed a bit too fragile and sort of out of place. Honestlt I have yet to try this particular unit, how does it fair??
In 3rd edition, I did prefere my Broadsides to be armed with SMS. I'll never forget playing against this one guy with a Chaos Space Marine Slanessh rhino rush army! I blew away the Rhino and he tried to summon his Daemonettes, who where blown away by a combination of SMS from the broadsides and from Burst cannon shots from a unit of stealth suits who were JSJ from behind cover every turn....good times...
Anyway, in order to get a pirahna, I'd probable drop 2 Shield drones from the "posse" and put the unit in, if it is worth it.
Thoughts??
Thanks Chappy P!
