Lately I have been playing the new DoW campaign as tau. Doing so has made me think of starting a tau army based on my tactics in DoW. I don't have a codex yet because I don't want to commit before knowing my idea will have a chance. I do know, with approximate values, my list, at 1850, will look similar to the following. HQ Shadowsun Crisis suit commander and 2 crisis suit retinue. (missile pods and plasma guns) Elites 3 crisis suits (missile pods and plasma guns) 12 stealth suits (4 fusion guns) Troops Fire warriors (about 40) Heavy Support Broadsides (about 6) I will have to find a balance between the fire warriors and the broad sides. I plan to use the battle suits to flank while crushing them between the suits and the firewarriors. The broadsides will have their usual job of killing tanks and heavily armored infantry. Please tell me if this will work. I like battle suits and would love an army full of them, but I will keep this list to DoW if it wont work on the table top. If anyone plays a similar list I would appreciate seeing it.

In DoW Dreadnoughts are some of the best units in the game. In 40k, they are walking tea-cups. From what I have seen with Tau, the fish of fury is where you want to be looking for your fire warriors. I cant give much more information than that but good luck.
