Well at least they've admitted it now so there's a chance they can fix it

Hope they get a move on with it fast

Thanks, pretty good timing for me. Birthday coming up, now I just gotta trick my family into buying me toys... again. Each year it seems to get harder.

I think it'll be fine. I think mine was just open up to the last minute (i.e. like 2 days before they announced shipping) and they probably printed them all off before they announced and since mine wasn't closed it didn't get printed.

Assuming it gets taken care of (which I'm 99% sure it will) I have zero complaints. They reopened my pledge for me multiple times when I wanted to add stuff so I'm not gonna bitch to loud

Hulksmash, did you get your toys yet?

Has anyone gotten games in? I'm really curious how well it plays. I've watched the youtube batreps, but those are official. I want to hear what "normal" people think of the game.

Nope, got a message back last week that they had printed my shipping invoice but not a word since the 13th. I'm opening another ticket tomorrow. I'm a little pissed I'm going to have my first WoK models when I'm at Adepticon since I get a free starter with my VIG badge...

I've played multiple games, and have been playing the game for around 2 years. I love it. I think for people that want something Fantasy Skirmishy ala Confrontation, it's going to scratch a lot of the same itches.

Games are quick and easy to follow with lots of really fun interactions between the models.

Damn, that's some bad luck. Looks like they've been pretty good at getting stuff to everyone else.

Awesome, just awesome. I'm going to mention it to my group. Everyone liked Infinity, but no one (other than me) seemed willing to take the extra steps to learn the rules and depth. WoK is cheaper, is fantasy, and doesn't require additional terrain. If they don't like it, I may have to finally make new friends.

Once you get off the GW bandwagon, it's overwhelming. I keep seeing new games I want to play. But what happens is I just have more models I never paint. Deadzone/Infinity/Imperial Assault/WoK all look like really fun games. I can't possibly play them all.... or can I?

they have been really good about getting this stuff out. I'm pretty sure I'm the major exception on this one I'm pissed in the sense that I want my toys but I can reasonably say I wouldn't have touched them till I got back from Adepticon anyway

Got a starter set in my VIG swag bag at AdeptiCon which I gave to Gitsplitta's son, and he swapped it at the CMON booth for the werewolves faction. He really likes them, I think! I also bought myself a pack of 2 WoK minis, one of which is ogre sized, and it was only $15 for both.

Casts look quite good on the organics. I haven't tried assembling them, but I would say it is a definite step up from previous efforts in the material (although it still won't ever be my favorite stuff due to how hard it is to convert, especially with the square pegs for separate parts).

So a solid B to B+ from me on these, at least on the nice chunky models I got to check out in-person.

You ought to come by some weekend to hang out for a day and build some of my models!

Seriously, I will never get them all built and based otherwise

My stuff was waiting for me when I got home

Building my Nasir today. After that the Teknes or Shael-Han. Might consider getting rid of my entire Hadross line. I'm not really in love with them so if anyone is interested feel free to hit me up.

Did you get any of the extras?

I foolishly did not get the heroes or the Sharkmen or the Orsund Cav

I dumped my Hadross and Teknes, mostly since I knew I'd never get to them. Hadross played a bit too slow and steady for my tastes. I just wanted more sharks, and I was a bit bummed about how average sized they were. I don't know why I expected something of Mierce- like proportions, or at least comparable to a GW or Mantic Ogre.

On the other hand, I've steadily been chugging through my Nasier forces. If my brother ever stops painting 40k stuff, maybe we could have a game proper. At least one side will be painted.

Or if he doesn't, he should just give me all his wolf heroes, since that's what I'm really after, and have consistently lost every auction for them I've seen.

Out of curiosity, how do the Shael Han Children stack up in size to their respective hero (the dude with the spear and bionic arm)? Thinking they might find a place in my Noh Empire/ Ogre Kingdom Kings of War Ogres if they're big enough.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

I bought the entire line of Wrath of Kings Cincy so I have everything for all factions. Some more than others in the case of the Rank 2 Specialists since I bought 4 of all but the Hadross one since I knew it'd be the most likely faction I dropped after I started building and painting.

Anyone else not thrilled with the cast quality of the Twilight Knight? Also, damn, that is some fragile resin... not too optimistic about KD's resins now, at least as they serve as gaming pieces.

Yeah, KD resin models are really just paint projects, imo... their plastics should be much sturdier, though.

Yea, just surprised at the lack of density and strength of the model. I will probably end up making a Twilight Knight counts as to actually play with.

resin is generally fragile, there are different types of resin, some more resilient that others. The Resin used on the twilight knight and the wrath of kings preview minis were like hollow glass tubes. Very fragile. The arena rex stuff is a bit more durable but still fragile compared to HIPs plastic which is what kingdom death is being made of. Wargames factory stuff is durable, detailed and easy to clean and assemble.

I don't think WoK uses any HIPs plastic at all, does it?

Nope the weapons are ABS and the main part the miniatures is PVC

Wehrkind actually does resin casting, so if he's saying the resin (not the normal PVC ones) is extremely fragile, he's probably right!

Fahk me I meant to say that's what kingdom death will be using.

Yea, I am just surprised that a gaming piece (I mean, the TK comes with rules cards) really is not meant to be actually touched at all. Rather a disappointment... I generally don't consider casting something into resin to make it MORE durable, but I think I would have to do that to make the TK playable on the table. I am rather wishing that I had decided to just sell it NIB instead of starting to put it together.

(The fact that I had to clean off some rough mold lines and slippage points left me a little cold too, but at least the low density resin just flew off at the touch of the file.)

Totally built up my Nasir in the last two days. Love these models. Actually like the Pelegarth quite a bit more than I thought I would. Next up is my Goritsi
