Hehe, yeah.... GW wishes. Its a good codex none the less. A vast improvemnt in my opinion. Though the layout is rather odd when compared to older 'dex's so it takes a bit to travers and find what you need.

I actually tried the Deep Strike/Skyleap thing with my Swooping Hawks yesterday. The guy I was playing was almost in tears.
P.S. I lost.

Tears? Wow. I didnt think it was that crucial. People mostly laugh at me when I do it calling it waste. I agree.

He was playing Daemon Bomb. I really don't understand why he was almost crying, He defeated me rather handily. But in my defense, I haven't played anything other than Kill Team in six months. This game should have been agony. I should be a mass of aching muscle, unable to roll my dice. And, were I an older man, I surely would... ... but I'm a man of thirty -- of twenty again. The rain on my chest is a baptism -- I'm born again... I smell their fear -- and it is sweet. (Yes, I'm paraphrasing The Dark Knight Returns, sue me)

Probably because he thought that his beloved deamon bomb who is supposed to be so rock hard might get scratched. I know magic players like that when their "awesome" decks get stomped by decks with squirells. Its a lovely sight to see a grown nerd cry because he is getting stomped by pansies with wings/squirrels.

Love the quote, Jester... It was a great book. The original Batman-taking-Superman-to-the-woodshed event.

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.
But there's no sense crying over every mistake;
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

Flawless, no, but pretty good. Some inconsistencies that if you don't want to try and push the envelope, you don't have any real issues.
And the Dark Knight Returns is still one of the best series of all time.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby. |
