Hokay, so I was thinking that the previous list * might do better in Escalation if I went whole-hog and made everything able to start off the table in those missions.

I agree that it's better to start everything or nothing off the table. I played around last year with an all-mechanized marine army and was happy with the results. Did you consider a teleport homer somewhere?

Because this is for a tournament and the army is done, it's probably not viable to make a lot of changes, but I wonder why a chaplain rather than a librarian or DE hero? Also I use the pred + vindicator, but I have frequently seriously considered going with dual predators instead. Mech marine armies give up some massed firepower by giving up devestators (unless you just mount the devs--like maybe a 3ML squad--in a razorback), and a predator is a cheap way to get some massed AP2 firepower back in.

I use the chaplain partly for fluff, partly because I like re-rolling the close combat attacks and partly because he comes with the 2+/4+. I just wish I didn't have to waste 25pts buying Stubborn for the unit (including him).

I have plenty of time for revisions. I just played the tournament yesterday with the previous army list. I don't expect that I'll be in another tournament before the new codex comes out in a couple of months, so I may be jumping the gun here a bit. I may be better off waiting before I plan significant revisions or new units.

Right now I have a bare metal unit of Termies, and a unit of new plastic termies still in box, so I've got a fair amount of work in front of me before I field them. I'm most likely going to work on my Eldar first, actually, but naturally playing in the tournament yesterday got me thinking about tweaks for the DA. Your Pred idea is a solid one. I had considered mounting up the Devs, but I only have one more Razor/Rhino chassis currently painted, and I didn't want to drop down to three Troops selections. Four feels light as it is. Maybe I should paint up the termies, another Rhino chassis, and another Pred.

I usually think of a chaplain with a large squad to maximize the effect of the Litanies, and power armor for the maximum increase in benefit from the rosarius. It feels like a chaplain isn't as big a force multiplier in a terminator squad for the cost.
