Fan Fiction Anthology Announcement
DEADLINE now set for the end of April 2007. Submissions received after midnight GMT (or your own local time) on 30th April 2007 will not be considered. Time to get some serious writing done
SUMMARY: New, unofficial, fan-fiction competition for Warhammer 40k and Fantasy Battle.
What is this all about?
Several writers of Black Library/ Games Workshop fan-fiction have decided to try and put together an anthology of the best, new fan fiction. The crazy aim of this scheme is - with your help - to produce an anthology that is good enough to present to the Black Library as a completed article, fully edited and full of action-packed and exciting stories, written entirely by the fans.
Why would the Black Library pay any attention to this?
They probably won't, in all honesty, but in a discussion with Black Library editors on the BL forums when this idea was suggested they did not shoot it down in flames. On this flimsiest of excuses we have decided to go ahead anyway and see what we can do.
What if the Black Library don't like it?
Then we will have a collection of great new fan fiction that we can release onto the internet for all the fans to read for free, and we will all have had a hopefully very interesting time trying to write stories to publishable standard, and working with amateur editors (us) to try and polish them until they shine.
What if the Black Library do like it?
Let's not even go there right now!
What do you need from us?
Stories - completed ones. Really, really good, completed stories that have never been posted or published before.
Either 40k or WFB, around 7000 words in total. Go here for all the information you will need. http://forum.blacklibrary.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6954
When's the deadline?
The end of April 2007. Submissions received after midnight GMT (or your own local time) on 30th April 2007 will not be considered.
Once the deadline expires, then the judges will begin the pruning and the selecting.
I'm interested. Where can I learn more?
