I've posted an out-of-the-wrapper review of the new Eldar Dire Avengers boxed set on my website:

www.weetoysoldiers.com/wp/

It's not a construction review, just an initial look-type.  It does contain, however, sprue scans at 2000x3000 resolution (both front and back).

Enjoy!

Nice review!  The sprues look like they've been given a wash to help the details stand out.  What did you use?

I didn't do anything to the sprues prior to scanning them. It's probably mostly due to the light from the scanning head reflecting off the sprue. I did sharpen it a bit in Photoshop to counteract the inherent softness involved with flatbed scanning.

Well, slightly discouraging to see that there's only one comment left after 200 hits. A similar trend on Warseer, too. I guess there's not much demand nor interest for this kind of review...

I like the review, and I am always happy to see extra heads floating about on sprues.

There is interest in these types of reviews, but usually pre release, or very shortly after release.  Once people have them, or see them in the stores, its old news.    In addition, I believe pics of the sprues had been up on Warseer some time before their actual release.

355 views however says its pretty popular. I read it, enjoyed it and hope you do more, but didn't have anything to add.

Same here!    Thanks for the scans- they are great, and unlike many posters here I don't have a home store I operate out of, so those scans are useful to me since I don't have the opportunity to see others open their boxed sets and handle the parts.

Cool review man.

I'm going to be starting an eldar army shortly (waiting to see how many GW vouchers Santa brings me).

This is ice to see before I buy.

Thank you very much.

Ah.  Looks good anyway.  I read your site as much for the photography tips as the for the miniatures.

Thanks!
