I'm not really a fan of the joke marine armies, and that's not really much of a stormraven, just a valkyrie with bolt-on weapons - but it is a hell of a valkyrie! Using those building bits is genius, I think that would make an absolutely awesome conversion for an inquisition valkyrie, or a high-up commander's personal transport, or something.

The amniotic tank is made from some turret bits and a clear plastic lid from some random cosmetic product, the goo itself is zitardes 2k water gel with a drop of magenta ink mixed in. The water effect from zitardes are a resin compound and makes this attainable in one pour

The tech assasin is mostly an eversor model with the sword arm sculpted and the sword from the baneblade commander. There is however a lot of repositioning involved in converting him.

I love the angry marine bird, it's nice to see that orks aren't the only humorous race in 40k

Would this not work with normal water effect?

Nope The normal water effect (GW) is on an acrylic base, which means it needs oxygen for the water in it to evaporate. The problem is that it takes forever to cure if the layer is too thick, and we're talking millimetres here, and the resin water effect has no such limit. The reason for that is that the one of the two components mixed is the hardener, and when mixed with the resin it creates a chemical reaction forcing the resin to cure (usually with resin it creates heat when it cures but I don't think this particular type does) and that means there's no limit to the thickness of the pour as long as the two compounds are properly mixed. Hope this helped

And thanks for the other comments too guys

What did you use for this? The old model just cut up and reposed or something else?

Nothing currently, got out of the hobby, maybe getting back in?

From the original Kharn I've kept...

Head
Backpack
Gorechild and arm
Plasma pistol arm and wrist
Legs below the knee

Attatched to a few zerker bits, the khorne shoulder pad from the chaos marine squad kit and roberts your fathers brother! Threw his torso and upper legs away. Took an age to get the positioning balanced right but I feel its much better for it. Bit of green stuff at the seals and the odd skull totem on a chain and that was that. Sounds easier than I found it but I think anybody with experience could better my attempt if not the idea!

Looks like guitar wire... hit up any local bands you know, they are sure to break strings and can donate some to you. Otherwise, your local music/instrument store should be able to supply by the metre...
