Wait seriously?

I can't remember anyone bringing up Vlad previously, I mean he's the most famous Vampire in human history, I hope that wasn't a throw away blurb in a backstory.

edit - sorry if that came off slightly off, but I have nine pages written so far which could be about to be nullified. So slightly panicked.

So, me and WARORK have been talking a bit (he was proofreading my sheet) and I have a suggestion for a group of werwolves.

"The Blunted Fang"

The Fang is an organization that dates back to the Fall of Rome. it is comprised of old and new wolves who are more ‘liberal’ than their kin, they see death and ruination everywhere hey turn, and so they were founded in the hopes to ‘acclimate’ humanity to living with werewolves, they believe that sometime, hundreds of years form now, that Condemned criminals should be executed via consumption, sating the werewolves’ bloodlust and removing the condemned. They hope that humanity as a whole will consider them.
Their efforts are harried by the Six-Fingered-Hand and the more ‘conservative’ werewolves who believe in the ultimate rule of lycans. This seems too much like Hitler’s ‘master race’ ideals to the Fang, who hope to alleviate the situation without excess violence.
The Fang uses diplomats, covert kill-teams and propaganda to ‘pull the strings’ slowly influencing werekind to be less embracive of the animal and hold to their humanity.

The Fang has been undergoing a tense relationship with Natasha’s band, the type of werewolves that the Fang fears will turn the world against them.

The Fang believes that if werewolves were to attempt an ‘uprising’ it would be utterly crushed, it does not take a genius to know that the nation’s governments must know about vampires and wolves, the lycan do simply not number enough, to wage a full-scale war on humanity.
Vampires, on the other hand are a thing to be reviled, hated and eliminated. The Fang uses highly trained teams t; hunt them down and eliminate them.
On the prophesy, The Fang has doubted this for as long as it has existed. Thy hold to their knowledge in that werewolves of a purer strain are far more powerful, but they are by no means ‘invincible’ they do not argue this theory however, for they thy think that it may have a grain of truth to it.

Vlad the Impailer was killed at his real-life death date of 1476. However, he was known as a clever bastard, so it could have been possible that a body double could have been used, if you're worried.

Full RP in spoilers.

Spoiler:
1476, Istanbul

"You will never win, scum!" The dying Hungarian soldier spit into the face of the warrior who wounded him. Wiping the spit from their cheek, the warrior picked up their spear again and impaled it into the man's head. Snarling as he continued, the soldier was murdering and butchering the fallen warrior. The warrior's comrade, snickering, stayed their hand further, egging him on to new prey. Jumping into a new skirmish, he pulled a short sword from the sheath, and sliced a man's throat. He went down in a shower of blood, clutching his neck. Continuing, the pair encountered a group of horse-mounted knights. One laughed as he speared a horse, causing it's rider to fall off. The man in 100 pounds of armor slammed into the ground just before the laughing man ran him through as well. The rest of the knights were dispatched with by the other warrior.

The tent was just on the horizon. Surrounding the tent were the Elite Guard, Vampyre soldiers. The laughing man stabbed two in the chest with wooden stakes, while the other tried to hit one with a crossbow. It went wide and slammed into another member of the Guard.

"You know how bad of a shot I am! Why did you make me take that damned thing!" The soldier was complaining as a stake entered another bloodsucker. Spinning around, the warrior caught another with the tip of the iron capped boot. Going for the stake, he found it gone. The Vampyre smiled and set upon the the soldier. Going for a throat wound, he jumped up and ran towards the soldier searching for the lost stake. He sadly didn't make it. The other man had thrown one of his stakes, and it landed right into the back of the Vampyre's knee. He fell, screaming in pain. The soldiers looked at each other.

"Why did you give me the crossbow again?" He lifted his helmet, revealing himself to a man of maybe 30.

"Because, brother, you need the practice." She lifter her helmet, showing herself to be a woman of 18, maybe. Her brown hair flowed from her head. "gak! There's blood in my hair!" She looked at her flowing locks.

"By Cernunnos, will you ever be quiet?" The man grabbed her hand, and together, they walked into the tent. The man inside was sitting down, staring at them as he got up from his chair. He was an old man, maybe 40 or 50, his skin was papery white, and his lips were red with blood. The goblet beside him was... Aeromatic, to say the least.

"You kill my soldiers, butcher my guards, and you come into my tent." He licked his lips, eyeing them. "And you a woman! Ha!" He grabbed the girl, pulling her close. "My girl, I will make you my queen. Now, please, tell your boyfriend-" There was an audible pop as the stake was driven into the man's heart.

"Stupid man. Never let a woman to close to your heart." She stepped back, and pushed the dying man onto the table.

"But... But I... I am Vlad the Impaler... I cannot die..." He was leaking blood from his massive wound.

"Sadly, we all die. Your end was fitting. Impaled on the spike that you used to kill our king? Ironic, I do say." The man walked over to the fallen king. "I do say, I wonder what your blood tastes like..." He put a drop of Vlad's blood onto his gloved finger. "Let's find out!" He poped his finger into Vlad's mouth, grabbed his jaw with the rest of his hand, and pulled. The sickening shclock of the jawbone ripping from the head was near vomit inducing, but the soldiers didn't care. They exited the tent, and headed for their own command tent.

"Musater. Musatei. You return. Did you-" Musater threw the jawbone at the man in leather armor.

"Longar. He's dead." Musatei grabbed a barrel of wine from the stockpile, and began to drink.

"Your sister is getting a bit out of hand with the drink over there..." Longar was eyeing the girl chugging a 20 gallon barrel of the strongest wine gold could buy.

"She needs it after the day we had." Musater grabbed a barrel for himself. "As do I." He removed the bung and began to drink with his sister.

Longar sighed and sat down. Today was going to be a long day...

Quick note guys...I'm going to do my best to do all the "cuts" and edits I need to do to the character templates and have the finalized list ready to roll tonight or tomorrow..
Once that is done, everyone can start doing character sheets and we'll be getting set to launch .

And that's why I don't have an a large and ecompassing back story, it just gets tangled up or messed up should someone RP a bit of their back story.

Fond believer in K.I.S.S over here.

Anyways, can't wait to see some of the back stories for the various characters and I'm a bit worried about people who have pages and pages of the stuff ready to go. I've been thinking about mine but haven't typed anything out for it... then again I introduce my back story along the way of the story in small flashback instances so I may do that again.

I'm with Halo. Wargear seems way to complicated, and it would be easier on all of us if it made like a tree and got the hell out of here.

@ Halo...I've got a general idea for what I want to do for my intro post but other than that no real things set in stone...I'm of the opinion that fluff should only be written when its ready to be written and doesn't contradict others...

@ Ineptus...If I were you I'd just use the group as a story device and not really a deciding factor RP wise...lord knows we've already got enough warring wolf groups as it is...

a lot of the extra "wargear" will most likely find itself against the wall...though some of it may end up in use/available..in very limited amounts.

@ Ineptus...

The Blunted Fang sounds as though they may find themselves caught between a rock and a hard place and another hard place...much as the Lunar Brotherhood did.

I think that maybe Longar should just give up and just join Natasha, it couldn't be that bad right? I mean Longar will probably be killed, and maybe Musater will be put in stocks or something, but it should turn out alright in the end.

Yeah, during some of the battle sims the mages did very well...almost to well at times...especialy in combinations with other Hunter elements.

Because they're mages, and that means they use magic. Besides why are you play-testing, Games Workshop doesn't and they have never produced an over powered army.

I see, usually in settings the magic people usually more powerful than the rest but that may not be right for Bloodmoon. What do you think should happen, tone down the spells, increase spell failure chances or make them more sensitive to damage? I can see the most trouble with the Archmages because they can use all the spells in the school of their chose, while Battle Mages are only going to get by with 2-3 spells or is that mix of minor spells bonuses and good combat skills making them too good?
