Thanks for you help on my other post, I'm thinking a mix of TBB and rhinos are the way to go.

now, I have another question for ya.

Which is better, a unit of Khorne possessed with talons (32 pts each), or a unit of Bloodletters (26 pts each)?

The possessed have 1 more attack (1 base, 1 for MOK, and 1 for add'l CCW), otherwise their stats are the same.

possessed start on the table, can take an AC with wargear and can bloodrage, and with talons, have a better chance of taking out high toughness baddies, and vehicles. They are good vs. MEQs (according to my calculation, 8 possessed with MoK and talons kill  about 7-8 MEQs on the charge)

Bloodletters cost 6 pts less, are summoned - which in my experience is a mixed bag; they don't get all shot up from the git go, but for me, usually show up turn 2 and still get shot up, or turn 4, and have limited killing time.   also, with strength 5 they are limited to very light vehicles (AV 11 max).  They are a bit better vs. MEQs (according to my calculation, 8 Bloodletters kill  about 8 MEQs on the charge)

I'm not as good at metagaming as most of you, so anybody have any thoughts on this?

The clever combatant imposes his will on the enemy, but does not allow the enemy's will to be imposed on him.

The main problem with Possessed is that they're pricey enough to draw a lot of fire, and they'll have to cross the kill-zone on their own, while the 'Letters are immune until summoned. At 32 points each, it's cost-effective to lay heavy weapons fire on them, and doubly so with their effectiveness and a PF-armed AC.

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.

But there's no sense crying over every mistake;
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.
