Ok, the http://dakkadakka.com/Forums/tabid/56/forumid/18/postid/126943/view/topic/Default.aspx thread has convinced me that Extended Carapace is a good idea against most opponents, so I'll be taking that, making my Stealers 20 points each. But what, if any, other weapons/biomorphs do Godzilla players give their broods? From my limited playing, I see two main types of brood: - Ambush (cause havoc and tie up units in lethal hand to hand combat while my Monstrous Creatures shoot everything else): give them Scuttlers and Flesh Hooks for 4 points seems sensible? Acid Maw and/or Scything Talons are tempting, considering an Ambush Brood should be as nasty as possible in that first round of (hopefully) charging assault, but at 4 points each is expensive? Feeder Tendrils is cheap at 1 point, but with a WS of 6 anyway, it won't help against most opponents. Implant Attack seems a waste of points unless you're planning on jumping on a HQ unit (although that's not a bad idea). Toxin Sacs doesn't seem worth 3 points. As far as squad size goes, several units of 6? - Tactical/Counter-Attack (threaten anything approaching my Monstrous Creatures, and advance along with my Monstrous Creatures, assaulting as appropriate). Despite being Fleet of Claw, these dudes are going to get shot at a lot more, and other than Extended Carapace, none of the weapons/biomorphs are going to help with that, so I'm thinking I should simply keep them at 20 points. Big squads of 12 so that some actually live long enough to get into combat? Some cheap spinegaunts as a meat shield in front? Anyone have any other tactical ideas for Genestealers in a Godzilla army?

I consider Flesh Hooks to be a must on stealers, fexes, tyrants and warriors. I wish Raveners could buy them. But I tend to play with a lot of area terrain, so anyone with a brain will put their shooty troops inside terrain when facing Nids.
I don't bother putting FH on gaunts since it's such a huge percentage of their cost. However, I won't usually charge gaunts into cover unless I have a Catalyst Zoey or Tyrant close by...

A friend of mine swears by scutlers and sything talons, and when he has the points he loves to give them implant attack. Was kinda funny seeing the look on our 1k sons player when 1 squad of stealers wiped out a squad of 1k sons in one round

Always take: Extended Carapace
Take in games above 1000 pts: Scuttlers
Take if your group uses lots of terrain: Flesh hooks
Never take: scything talons, feeder tendrils, implant attack (unless metagaming against thousand sons), toxin sacs, or acid maw.

I have a hard time justifying anything other than EC for genestealers. Less because the biomorphs are ineffective, and more because with the points I save, I can purchase more genestealers. A 20 point genestealer is good enough to deal with just about anything. I'll echo the comment about the flesh hooks if you play with a lot of terrain.
Further, my recommendation would be to run them in squads of 8. 8 is big enough that they'll deal the hurt out when they hit close combat and will last through some shooting, while still small enough to allow you to put multiple squads on the table. When playing tyranids (I don't play a godzilla list) my goal is always to max out my troops choices, so that I can win the deployment phase and gain an advantage for the rest of the game.

I run 3 broods of 12 armored stealers in my godzilla list, and they seem to work fine for all the things you listed. I'm not sure how you were thinking of running it, but I always put my stealers behind the MCs, and don't break them out until they're no more than one turn from charging. Even with the armor, stealers are still fragile. They are the main killer in my army, not the shooty MCs. Tyranid guns are mainly there to annoy vehicles (gunfexes) and scare troops (dakkafexes). Against MEqs they just aren't going to be effective enough to rely on them to win the game.

Im thinking that genestealers are quite uneffective without broodlord and broodlord costs too much points, but i have a solution for chep bodys! spinegaunts with 5 points each you will get 3 of them per one marine
