orkdestroyer1 please use coordinates when your wanting to direct people to places. Place shifty + F3 in game to display them (ie they're listed as X, Y, Z, plus a load of numbers, only the first three matter). =P

I think the "volcano" he's talking about ("with steps up to it") is Mondo's lava tower:

The volcano is right next to the lava tower on the hill next to the dakka craft stone sign.....it is not the lava tower i use the same steps to get to mondo's lava tower on the hill and signs will direct you from there.

Use the Map.

Use your reading tools called eyes and take peoples advice man.

Co-ordinates would be more useful to be honest...
That said, i'm never gonna go there so it doesn't particular matter to me...
Though the 'No mining' sign still has me curious...

No, the easiest way possible is to give us Coordinates.

There is ALOT of room betwee this lava tower and the Dakka Craft Sign.

Those 'titan thingies' are generally called 'Titans'

That sounds pretty close to spawn, alot of the land around sppawn has already been claimed, so please be careful you don't mine someone elses mine.

His "volcano" is not on the map because it has only just been built.

It's a single source block of lava that runs down the reverse side of the hill here

I found an even better spot, and I think I'm gonna use it if no one objects. It's fairly close to the bridge sticking out of elven territory though.

Gonna build something like a home suspended over the bay, attached to each of the four cliffs.

If no one says anything by noon tomorrow, I'm gonna take the area and begin building.

Seems pretty close to spawn, might want to move out a bit as I think most resources would probably be gone by now.

Nah, that area is actually not very hollowed out. Certainly nowhere near as bad as the old spawn.

Most people head away from the "boring" desert to get hills and grass and ravines etc, so the area hasn't really been plundered too much... yet.

That's pretty surprising. At this point the old one was basically a thin shell over a giant pit of doom.

I went and had a look behind your "DO NOT MINE" sign

Found some coal there, but left it there, I have plenty of coal and if you're just starting out you'll need it more than me.

I heard some water around there so i put the sign up and take the coal.

If you hit water you can always plug it back up again with the cobble you just mined.

The lava blub/popping sounds are what you really need to watch out for

It'll also drip if it's above you anyway. If it's under or next to you, that's the problem.

all those creeper holes in the desert makes it look like the map has been subject to a few bombing runs.
