Hey,

I had a thread a while ago on 1500 pts tyranid list. The list got hammered and I haven't had an answer on my last post in that thread. Thereforr I will ask the question here once more.

I have the following

  • 1 battleforce for the tyranids (carnifex*, 3 warriors, 8 genestealers, 8 hormogaunts, 8 ... gaunts (I made spinegaunts) 5 rippers)
  • 1 battle of macragge set (6 genestealers, 8 termagaunts, lots of sporemines)
  • 1 Carnifex*
  • 1 Broodlord

* = Made to be a gunfex

What is the best list I can make with these ingredients? best use of points, do not make a 1500 points list because it is possible, but make a list with realistic chances (so if only 500 pts, then the best 500 pts list you can make with these ingredients. If some things are left out, please explain so I can understand the choice.

Furthermore How can I best expand to 1500 and 2000 pts. I know a Flying HT will be a must according to a lot of people here, and I like the conversions I have seen so far, so that will be added, but what else... Please keep in mind that I do not want to buy another carnifex. I have build 2 gunfexes, that should be enough zillas with 1 HT added, as I don't want a Zilla-list. I think a lot of small  ones with a couple mediumsized should be able to deal with a lot of enemys...

Thanks for the help

Rav

Having only dabbled with the 'nids (read: created one or two lists borrowing my friends codex, models and proxying a few of them) I can only give limited advice here.

The only thing I'd say is create a list yourself, using these models.

Put it up for critique.

List how the army will be used and who it will face.

It doesn't need to be a Godazilla list to be fun.

ps. if the list got hammered the last time, listen to some of the advice in it and swap it around.

Just read your other thread.

Ignore the above comments.
