The Ethereal conversion looks especially fantastic, where is that head from? I think the thing on his belt needs to be hooped onto something though. And I love his superhero pose. I also love the use of Goliath bits, I think they are really cool sculpts - they have quite a lot of piercings though, not sure if that will look right.

Now I think the Astromancer is just bob on. I really like him and if I squint a bit I can see a lightening arc or some such bursting forth from the staff.

@ Hey Vik , The beastman was justa quic paint job , and wont be getting any more love from me either. just to get me thinking about paints to be honest , although I like how he came out , kinda muted and blanchey .. really enjoyed painting him though.

Glad you like the full group shot , I totally agree with about the brute , was just a last min idea , and wont make it into the final group as chiron alter ego unless something dramatically changes , although i personally love the Astropath guy.. nice easy paintjob is what i am thinking with him in particular.

@Bruticus, Hey mate , the head is forgeworld Cadian vets. about the piercings .. i did notice after i added socrates's head he had a lip ring , but tbh i am going for that blanche punkiness with him , so it will fit .. like this stuff

He's awesome! I love the greens - unusual colour scheme, but I really think it works with the reptilian vibe. Is the 'snake' part mechanical though? Or some kind of creepy bio-engineering?

I'd love to see some WiPs - I don't recognise many of the parts

Hang on, I've just worked out that he's Cercropion - he's probably the character you've given least away about, but nice job! I really like Chiron's reliance on him from your backstory too - should be a really interesting in game mechanic

@ scarps Hey mate , Aye its cercropian , funny thing is , He is the one with the most fluff, Plans a foot for him.. He is part bio mechanically engineered , part techpriest.. Adaptus Biologicus ;-)

some more wips the only bits I used were from the sslyth and [img]inquisitor Loks retinue except the admek symbol under the =][= which is from the forgeworld techpriest oh yes and his mini flamer from his mechadendrites.

... that Cercropion (if scraper is right in his assumption...i seem to have lost track with all that plethora of names you come up with... what is with good names you can rely on... tom, dick and pete???) lol...

that model has so much of everything... but it doesn´t feel busy or overladed... verdigris is looking good on that groin protector...he is truly a sparkling example of the bigotry of the inquisition and all the xenohating... something like that still hunts down anything that might be looked at from a certain angle as not totally human...

don´t get me wrong... i really like it!!!

, I feel the model is a tiny part of the whole , and after investing so much time and energy in the story, the model has to match up .. some do this better than others, chiron is my least fave model , but story wise up there with the best.. i am considering improving the model or making it a fine cast to match the others, but tbh I am struggling finding another suitable model.

As vik says I am huge JB fan , some would say stalker potential I have large collection of his older work , been collecting since I was ten , now thirty six but all just scans from various magazines and rulebooks tbh , most of this stuff come from his sketchbooks . The duke looks cool

Neil, enough with the intentionally awful photos! He looks awesome, but he's so blurry that its hard to make out any details - the eyes look deeply shadowed, and I can't tell if that's intentional character of poor light. Is that blood on his lip or some kind of boil (I'm hoping its a boil - what an awesome character feature that would be for a nobleman!)?

The people demand better pictures! Your paintjobs can take it

The eye shadow is a skunk stripe like Blade runners "Pris"

uuuuiiii! the blending of the blue is very nice!

the whole cuirass looks very good...and the slightly due to the boil rotten looking face together with the shadowed/blackened eyes gives this charcter a great air of dominance! tho he is very bright in colors this one emanates a truly dark air around him... i wouldnae want to face that one in a dark alley...!^^

and have you seen that small rainbow at the lower left corner of the pic... lol...happiness radiates^^

i always marvel that peeps here can better themselves even after they did outstanding jobs already!...

Thanks for the big pic neil - Its a subtle and natural looking minature especially given its nature as half mechanical snake, half cyborg.

Love the eyeshadow - it's a really nice 'foppish' kind of touch. The kind of ridiculousness of a Georgian wig, but without looking silly. Really sells the character! I really think the blood was a great addition too, especially on the back of his white glove - a fantastic gritty contrast to his elegant dress uniform. I can totally see him taking a blow, dispatching his assailant, and then becoming mildly annoyed at the blood on his fine clothes as he wipes his lip

Wowzer. Amazing progress and some incredibly characterful minis. The more close up photographs have confirmed something i always suspected; You're a fantastic painter!

The white stuff is liquid nails , I use a local brand hard as nails that is cheap as chips lol love the stuff saves time and is fun if not messy to use.

The blue is a bugger to paint , always got too light then too dark , in the end i just thought bugger it , and went for a nice painterly look .

picked some purity seal to protect these guys as they are going to be gamed with , but its been too hot for that thus far.

Hey folks , although I cant top PDH's amazing Inqusitrix Banadice !! Vendrakes gang is just about done , would have liked some more time to work on Vendrake , and probably will after the inquivitational is over , its tomorrow btw pretty exited over here , although I didn't get chance to learn the rules of inquisitor ( despite PDh's best efforts sorry mate ), I guess I will have to just look at the pretties then , never been to warhammer world before so I will take plenty of pics.

wow... when you shut yourself in in your mancave for painting you sure stay away for a long tie ...but when you come back you provide excellent eye candy!

dunno why... but again i have a certain feeling your minis remind me of certain popculture and Scifi characters...

the Souel...reminds me somehow on that morlock leader form one of the time machine movies... maybe due to the pale skin and the green and white combo in his cloth...

and the inq reminds me too of someone... and i am not thinking hellboy here only because of a big red fist... no someone else...


and the paintjob of socrates is very cool looking! the dirt...and then the still upper white half of the mini! top notch mate!


my only issue is with your medic... a splash of red would do him good... he looks a bit flat i think with all that green and no contrasting color...
