I'm not a very competitive player and im also quite new to the game ...
Here are some thoughts on tactics, specifically with the list I posted above. Mind you, these won't be mindblowing, as I'm no brilliant tactician and these are World Eaters after all, but maybe they'll help. Unit by unit:
Lt. - Deploys with a non-fisty berzerker squad, and should be used to neutralize other high iniative threats, or just generally slaughter marines and such. Don't run him along by himself, he'll just be krak-bait then.
Berzerker squads - You should probably deploy as far forward as possible, unless plentiful cover means you'll be able to have these boys huge cover before charging like mad into the soft, squishy enemy. TBB means you're likely to blood rage, which gives you a first turn move of 7-12" (and a first turn charge of 13-18"
, and likely second turn charges with whatever lives. The powerfist squad should be deployed with a mind toward maximizing the useful killiness of its fist - so toward big things, or where you can expect the big things to hit. One of the other 2 squads will have the Lt. and should be intended to move toward enemy characters, or masses of troops, or whatever needs to die. The last squad is far from useless - 33 S4 attaks on the charge! - but keep in mind where the demons are coming in ...
Bloodletters - Your ace in the hole, these guys are liquid death. Plan on sending them off of berzerker squads 2 & 3 above.
Dreads - Up to you really, which adds to the appeal of dreads. More than likely, deploy them behind what cover you can, so you can walk out and get a good shot in at enemy armor first turn. From there, either advance and shoot armor, with an eye toward eventually hitting combat, or hang back and shoot whatever targets need it. Fire frenzy and blood rage mean your best laid plans might need to change, but that's part of the fun. Sure, these guys are going to suck anti-tank fire, but that's less krak & lascannon to smash your berzerkers in the turn before they hit combat.
Luck, and blood.
