Very nice Turret! Great work, I can't wait to see the rest. Will you actually make it a mecha or use the parts on a land raider chassis?

Nice, this looks great. I'm glad that you stuck with the mecha concept. I think it really suits Arbites. Walking through the city, stomping on cars and buildings and bringing the emperors law to the masses.

By the way when did you get this kit? I went to the HLJ website and although it only came out in October 06 its already listed as discontinued? Anyone know a supplier in Europe or America?

Right now it doesn't look very "Arbites". I could see it in a SM or AdMech army but not Arbites. Will you be putting some emergency lights, eagle-wing details, or anything else a little more Arbites on it?

yep, will probably put lights on the shoulder (I am building a wheeled chimera and have modeled lights on that so will make them the same), i have plenty of brass etch imperial eagles to add, and i bought some forgeworld imperial fist icon I will add wings to, to create arbites badges. I was going to make it admech, but it doesnt have that knight titan admech kind of look, it looks more like a piece of military hardware than some experimental gian death ray robot, so I decided it will fit the city arbites theme better. I got the kit direct from the dust website www.dustgame.com without any problems (got the comic with it too ;-) )

At first I didn't think that model could be fully 40k-ized, but it looks like I was wrong... it looks great! I can't wait to see more progress.

I don't like the way the dreadnaught power plant sits on that thing. It looks odd at that angle.

Bit more progress! Some joints, bit of a tricky kit, all parts aqre moveable! the instructions are not clear on what parts need to glued and not but haven't made any major mistakes yet.

Whilst I love what you've done with the gun I think this would be more effective as an AutoCannon. Something that needs a large chamber to hold a whole load of shells. You can imagine them popping out of that ammo rack as the fire off. It's a bit too over kill for a las cannon power pack i feel.

Can't stick autocannons on a Land raider... Besides which, its a freakin walking death machine!! (and, if you read the fluff piece about the landraider crusader, it tells you that it has an increased transport capacity because it does not need to take up a large amount of interior space for the power generators for the godhammers, so I think that it's a good argument for giant power packs on the shoulders, given the hull's reduced size compared to a normal land raider.).

I think it would have been cooler to stick w/ the original gun barrels and glue the lascannon muzzle unto them.
Do you have pics of the original cannons? Just curious...

wow I cant wait to see this done...any more progress? I think a mobile Tank police-ish fire base is Fresh i was gonna buy this model too but just to put together, with some 1/32 troops.Ii really wanted to see Dust become a miniature game but it's seems far off, if it ever happens.

Fair enough, but I never bought the land raider crusader fluff. If thats true why can a predator have them sponson mounted? Theres very little room inside a predator for generators. Also look at infantry mounted las cannons. One small power pack. Godhammer is just a name, they are not actually anymore powerful, merely twin linked. I always felt that it was a weak argument background wise on GW's part to make the transport hold bigger. Having said that your points fair enough and they are mighty big! I just feel that the design suits a rack of solid shells better than a power generator. But if your building this as a gaming peice also then of course theres limitations as far as gaming practicality goes. Great work and I'm looking forward to seeing more!
