I'm not a great painter, but at least I've finally gotten two units completed (which has to be a record for me).

At the risk of just being scandalously blasphemous, the red is Ceramcoat's "Barn Red."  It is nicely opaque over a black undercoat.

They have a light gravel covering with highlighting (something not that obvious on the pics) but that's it.  Mrs. Quick is often accusing me of underdoing my bases.  For the characters, I'm thinking of using some small pieces from the new cavern floor molds from Hirst Arts.

Got a third unit painted: the cannon and crew.  There's almost two feet of snow on the ground--I'm getting a lot of painting done.
