Hey all.
I'm plotting an Ork pirate fleet.
Now, I've played with proxies a bit against nids, and got slaughtered every time.
But if I quit easily I wouldn't still be playing Orks in 40K after 10 years.
What I'm wondering is what do you guys think are good ships to bring against the 'nids?
I had most success using battleships and terror ships. And I play rather aggressively, ramming where ever possible!

Ram ships. Lots and lots of Ram Ships.  Oh, and a Hulk.

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.

But there's no sense crying over every mistake;
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

I found that his krakens minced my ram ships before they were usuable...
Do you think a Hulk is the way to go?

Savage gunships and Ravager torp boats can kick out an unholy amount of firepower on a good day. Personally, I would avoid Ram Ships - partly because they play to the Tyranids strength, and partly because I have only ever managed to make them work once (three of the little guys took down an Imperial Batttleship in two turns!).

I would load up on Kroozers, and possible a Battle Kroozer or two (but mainly because I like them). The Battle Kroozer with the Marine Bombardment Cannon catches my eye.

Busy somewhere, airin' out the skin jobs.

Hulks and Ramships for a serious ork fleet are a BAD idea.

Stick with the Kroozers, stay with terror ships, stick with ordinance and our unholy amount of RR's.  Against anyone but 'Nids....BOARD..(w/ mega armour)!

Space is GREEN!  Proven at adepticon this year!  I'll make sure the title is held next year.

While I applaud the great showing for the underrated orks, I intend on showing next year that space belongs to the panzies.

Eldar shall own you.

I really did find it odd that there wasnt a single eldar player at the BFG tourney at adepticon. There are some eldar fleets that are not only nasty as hell, but quite borderline broken.

The "ringer" fleet was Eldar.

Tau was disturbing. No one should have that many launch bays.

Ah...only four months until I need to set my twisted mind to coming up with new missions for AdeptiCon 2008's BFG Championships...

I already know one thing, though...next year there's going to be a quiz.

By the way, what are people's opinions of the missions we used this year? They're available for download from the www.adepticon.org website.
