Two questions for the group.
1) does rending work against liths?  I have heard many people say it does but that doesnt seem right.

2) How does outnumbering in combat work for multiple unit combats.
Say I have 2 units of 10 in a huge combat involving 4 enemy units of 5.  When they check moral do they check at a -4 for being outnumbered (20 vs 5) or  -2 (10 vs 5 ) or -0 for (20 vs 20) ?

Rending against monoliths is a no-goer.

I'm sure the wording in the Necron FAQ is allong the lines of no extra dice rolls or additions to strength have an effect (excludes all bonuses) - except turbo penetrator round(?)

On the second question my group plays it overall amount of enemy in combat versus overall amount of friendly.

If you play it the way we do that'd mean 20 v 20.

I'm not a 100% sure on your second question though.

If all the untis were in base to base with each other than it counts as one big combat.

Top of p46, second column.

In an assault involving more than two units, count up the total number of models on each side for Outnumbering purposes. There would be no Outnumbering penalty in your example.
