We're doing a bunch of small games in my group today, and since I have yet to win a single game with the new codex, I was hoping to get some advice on this list.
Asurman
Fire Dragonsx5
Fire Exarch w/ Pike and Tank Hunter, Crackshot (took it cause I had 8 points to kill)
Striking Scorpionsx5
Exarck w/ Claw and Stalker (didn't have the points for Shadow Strike)
Dire Avenger x9
Exarch w/ 2 S. Catapults no powers (Asurman attaches to this squad)
Dire Avenger x9
Exarch w/ SP and Dire Sword and Defend
Swooping Hawks x9
Exarch w/ Sunrifle and Intercept
Falcon w/ Scatter Laser and Shuriken Cannon, Holo Fields, Spirit Stones, Vectored Engines
I plan on having the falcon transport the Scorpions. Since I couldn't infiltrate them, and they don't have fleet, I plan on running them around the table, and getting into my opponents softer stuff. The Dragons can fleet, so I'll be keeping them in as much cover as possible as they do their tank/MC hunting business. The Dire Avengers will advance/hold steady as needed, with Asurman anchoring them, and the Hawks will provide longer ranged fire support while trying to position themselves to pop a tank or two if needed.
Any flaws to my thinking? I've been having truly horrible luck with the dice lately, so I need as much tacticle advantage as I can get.
